Reflection from the Pastor:
I want to thank all of you who came together this past week to help with the
annual Turkey Dinner, as well as those who supported the event by attending
and encouraging their friends and neighbors to attend. I think it was a great
success due to the hard work and planning on the part of the Altar Society. I
would also like to thank the Altar Society for their generous service to the
three families who lost loved ones this week. We had three funerals this past
week: +Antonio Rojas, +Lester Priest and +Rogene Groene. The Altar
Society prepared and served three funeral dinners for the grieving families
and guests and I could not be prouder of them. Thank you!

Bulletin Bits from the Diocesan Stewardship Office
Stewarding our Gifts – Go in peace glorifying the Lord by your life.
The prophet Malachi warned the evildoers in Israel’s time that the day of the Lord
would come unexpectedly and punish them for their deeds while the righteous would be
rewarded. In Jesus’ time he spoke of the destruction of the temple and those around him
wanted to receive a warning. Like Jesus’ disciples, we long to know ahead of time that
the end is near. Jesus warned his disciples to not be deceived by false prophets and to
always be prepared. Our preparation is rooted in how we live each day with the
abundance of God’s creation. May our concern for each other’s journey to heaven
influence us to live in the here and now, placing our gifts at the service of the Lord.

Broken Mailbox
Unfortunately my mailbox is
looking a little worse for the wear. I
think it has barely survived a few
collisions with someone’s car door.
If there is anyone handy in the parish
that would be able to repair it, I’d be
very grateful!

Stewardship Renewal 2016
By filling out the Stewardship
form, you are committing to a
certain course of action. When
God calls us, He doesn’t want us
to say “yes” and then never do it.
He desires that we be faithful to
Him, faithful to His commands, and faithful to our word.
Please prayerfully consider how you might recommit
yourself to being a good steward of all the gifts God has
entrusted to you and your family. Commitment Sunday is
next Sunday, November 20th. Please return your completed
forms at Mass, return them to the office, or simply drop
them in the mail.
St. Vincent de Paul
Those who are less fortunate
Often don’t want to ask for help
Hard times hit all of us at some point
Enjoy your good fortune
Let your fortune help others
People helping people makes this world a better place.
~Catherine Pulsifer

y fieles a nuestra palabra.

Estamos esperando reunir vegetales y frutas
