Cristo nos ha dado ejemplo de la confianza con que debemos acudir siempre a Dios. "Ora antes de los momentos decisivos de su misión: antes de que el Padre dé testimonio de Él en su Bautismo (Cf Lc 3,21) y de su Transfiguración (Cf Lc 9,28), y antes de dar cumplimiento con su Pasión al designio de amor del Padre (Cf Lc 22,41-44); Jesús ora también ante los momentos decisivos que van a comprometer la misión de sus apóstoles: antes de elegir y de llamar a los Doce (Cf Lc 6,12)... La oración de Jesús ante los acontecimientos de salvación que el Padre le pide que cumpla, es una entrega humilde y confiada de su voluntad humana a la voluntad amorosa del Padre" (C.E.C.,2600). Y otro tanto habría que decir de los primeros discípulos que "todos ellos perseveraban unánimes en la oración, en compañía de algunas mujeres, y con María, la Madre de Jesús, y sus hermanos" (Hch 1,14). La confianza en Dios se prueba justamente en la constancia a la hora de rezar. Hay quien deja de orar porque piensa que su petición no es escuchada. Pero, ¿qué pedimos nosotros tantas veces sino la solución que juzgamos mejor para nuestros problemas o, incluso, piedras en lugar de pan? "Nosotros no sabemos pedir como conviene", asegura S. Pablo (Rm 8,26). En cambio, nuestro Padre Dios sabe bien lo que nos hace falta antes de que se lo pidamos (Cf Mt 6,8). "No te aflijas, dice S. Agustín, si no recibes de Dios inmediatamente lo que pides: es Él quien quiere hacerte más bien todavía mediante tu perseverancia con Él en oración. Él quiere que nuestro deseo sea probado en la oración. Así nos dispone para recibir lo que Él está dispuesto a darnos". En este mes que la Iglesia dedica al Santo Rosario debemos dirigirnos a Dios a través de María, "la orante perfecta, figura de la Iglesia... Podemos orar con ella y a ella. La oración de la Iglesia está sostenida por la oración de María" (C.E.C.,2679). En el Rosario pedimos, entre otras cosas importantes, que se acuerde de nosotros ahora, en el hoy de nuestra vida, y en la hora de la muerte, como lo estuvo en la muerte de su Hijo en la Cruz y nos acoja para conducirnos a la gloria del Señor. Consejo Espiritual “Convertirse en compañeros para siempre” José y Beatriz llegaron al altar prometiéndose fidelidad hasta que la muerte los separe. Como una gran mayoría de parejas, José y Beatriz tenían toda la intención de cumplir su promesa. Sin embargo, poco apoco fueron descubriendo que esto no iba a ser tan fácil. El Matrimonio requiere de un compromiso que ha de ser renovado constantemente y nutrido por el amor. Las parejas que deciden unir sus vidas en el matrimonio seguramente se aman. ¿Pero qué es realmente el amor? Juan Pablo II en su “Teología del Cuerpo” dice que para descubrir el verdadero amor debemos ir a la fuente del Amor que es Dios mismo. Conocemos que el amor de Dios es libremente dado y recibido. Que el amor de Dios es fructífero; es decir siempre dador de vida. El amor de Dios es siempre fiel y total. Si tomamos en cuenta estos cuatro aspectos del amor de Dios y los aplicamos al matrimonio, podemos reflexionar en algunas de las características necesarias para tener un matrimonio en el que la pareja se convierta en compañeros para toda la vida. El amor se da y se recibe libremente Aunque posiblemente cada pareja llega al amor por vías distintas, una vez que se enamora, cada uno hace una decisión libre de amar y entregarse a su pareja. De esta forma se hacen vulnerables ante la persona amada. Esto quiere decir que esta persona le va a conocer como ninguna otra. Nadie mejor que la pareja va a saber lo que le hace feliz, o lo que puede causarle sufrimientos. Y una vez nos damos a conocer lo que se espera es que seamos aceptados tal cual somos. Es decir, la entrega de amor es un regalo que debe ser recibido y custodiado con respeto.El amor siempre requiere de una respuesta también libre y adecuada. A medida que se va descubriendo cómo es la otra persona se debe así mismo ir aceptando y recibiendo lo que el otro es. Las parejas que se toman el tiempo para conocerse y respetan amorosamente sus diferencias, pueden llegar a compenetrarse de tal manera que ya no son dos, sino uno. Respetar a una persona es aceptarla como es, y recibir lo que me ofrece sin intentar cambiarla; y sobre todo, sin tratar de manipularla a que haga las cosas como quiero que las haga. Se debe, eso si, contar con el hecho que el otro hará todo lo posible por satisfacerme, pero no puedo exigirle que haga lo que no puede o va contra su manera de ser. El amor siempre desea el bien del otro, por eso lo ideal es que las parejas que se aman y se respetan se pregunten: ¿Qué puedo hacer para el bien de mi pareja? ¿Cómo puedo corresponder al amor que recibo? De esa manera el amor partirá de la decisión libre y generosa de cada cual, sin imposiciones. El amor es fructífero Cuando hablamos de que el amor matrimonial debe ser fructífero no sólo nos referimos a que debe estar abierto a la posibilidad de dar la vida. El amor es fecundo o sea es dador de vida en todos los aspectos de la palabra. Dar la vida es preocuparse por aquello que la pareja necesita; es apoyarla para que realice sus sueños, y darle espacios para que se exprese y sea ella misma. Cuando una persona es en cambio “absorbente” no deja a la otra crecer y desarrollarse. Dar vida al otro es tratar a la pareja con cariño; es evitar aquellas cosas que sabemos que van a molestar, que pueden humillar o reducir la auto-estima del otro, o que son de mal gusto. Damos la vida cuando controlamos la lengua al expresar nuestras frustraciones o nuestra rabia o enojo.. Quienes están abiertos a la vida, aprenden también a perdonar y a buscar la reconciliación. Perdonar y reconciliarse no son lo mismo. Para perdonar sólo se necesita de una persona pues perdonar es la decisión, que una persona toma, de liberarse del resentimiento o rencor que un hecho le causó. No se trata de olvidar, ya que esto es prácticamente imposible, y recordar es necesario para aprender. Se trata más bien de aceptar que el otro se equivocó y no amargarse por eso. La reconciliación por su cuenta es tratar de rehacer la relación después de haber perdonado.Pero para esto se requiere que la persona que ofendió desee el perdón, lo pida y ofrezca modificar la conducta que le llevó a ofender. (más sobre el tema en “el poder del perdón)En el matrimonio va haber muchas oportunidades para perdonar, pedir perdón y reconciliarse. Cuando hay amor el ejercicio del perdón y la reconciliación van a ayudar a fortalecer la relación matrimonial. Cuando el perdón no se da la reconciliación es imposible y el matrimonio queda lastimado con huellas que van destruyendo la relación. El amor es fiel La fidelidad siempre ha sido un reto para las parejas. No me refiero solo al hecho de entregarse corporalmente sólo a la persona a quien hemos prometido un amor exclusivo de pareja. Hay quienes destruyen su relación de pareja al caer esclavos de la pornografía. Otras personas le dedican más tiempo al juego o a la botella, o a las amistades que a su pareja. La fidelidad requiere la vida de pareja sea una prioridad para cada uno. No hay que dejar que el trabajo, o las amistades ocupen la mayor parte de su tiempo. En ocasiones las mujeres se refugian en las obligaciones del hogar y en el cuidado de sus hijos y ponen a su esposo en un lugar dentro de su corazón que no es el que le corresponde. La fidelidad requiere el poner en perspectiva la vida, los sentimientos y acciones. Es aconsejable que las parejas procuren tener proyectos en común, donde ambos tengan la oportunidad de desarrollar sus habilidades, divertirse, gozar de la compañía del otro o simplemente pasar tiempo junto. No hay que olvidar que el proyecto más grande que quizá tengan en común sea el cuidado y educación de sus hijos. Esta labor sin duda va a requerir de una entrega amorosa de sí mismos. El amor es total /Se ama enteramente o no se ama. Pero, antes de mirar cuánto amor recibe, es conveniente que evalúe la calidad del amor que usted da. Comúnmente se dice que nadie puede dar lo que no ha recibido. Sin embargo cuando hablamos de amor, todos podemos aprender a entregarnos más con forme aprendemos a amar como Dios nos ama. ¿Cuándo fue la última vez que le expresó su amor a su pareja? No deje para después lo que puede hacer ahora. Escríbale una carta de amor a su pareja, dígale lo que significa para usted el tenerle en su vida. Haga una cita con su pareja. A pesar de las dificultades, el amor es siempre posible, y así como algunas cosas pueden haber cambiado para mal, también pueden cambiar de nuevo para bien. ¡Mucho está en sus manos! Aproveche cada oportunidad que tenga para AMAR y vivir su amor hasta que la muerte les separe.
