of psychosocial intervention has
the objective of deliver an
emotional relief to those persons
that were from the first minute
supporting the population, since
many of these people still continue
their work of helping the affected
population and it’s important that
the ones that give care, also
receive it.”.

Psychosocial support for emergency teams trough Emotional
Releases (group therapies)
•
76 emotional releases: support for 600 persons (384 women /
216 men)

Improve the knowledge about mental health and psychosocial support of the local institutions
with the objective of improve their psychosocial abilities in case of an emergency
•
Training in technics of Emotional release and group therapy;
•
Training of Psychological First Aid for health related personnel
•
Training in mental health and psychosocial support in case of emergency with focus in the community
training directed to university students, armed forces and personnel of the ministry of economic and social
inclusion deployed in the shelter of Portoviejo.

MdM made:

73 emotional releases, 600 persons helped (384 women and 216 men)
•
8 trainings on technics of emotional releases with 28 psychologists;
•
3 trainings on mental health and psychosocial support with the participation of 127 persons
•
8 workshops in the shelter of Portoviejo: 190 persons participated
•
7 trainings on Psychological First Aid: 33 persons trained
•
2 Trainings on Reaction for an evacuation in case of an earthquake with the participation of 23 persons
