You have already seen three examples of these verbs with the –go ending in the yo form: hacer tener poner hago tengo pongo 4.4 Verbs with irregular yo forms There are 4 families of these verbs that must be memorized by their “yo” ending type. These verbs are only irregular in the “yo” form and have all other regular present tense forms. 4.4 Verbs with irregular yo forms First Family – “go” Verbs There is a small but very important group of verbs that we call the “-go” verbs. These verbs drop their ER or IR ending to replace with “go” in the “yo” form only.
