The monthly variation of the Industrial Production Index stands at
1.4%, after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects
The annual rate of the Industrial Production Index stands at 4.0% in
the series adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects and at 6.9% in
the original series
Monthly evolution of the Industrial Production
After adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects, the monthly variation of the Industrial
Production Index (IPI) between August and July 2016 stood at 1.4%. This rate was 1.3 points
higher than that registered in July.

Annual evolution of the Industrial Production
After adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects, the Industrial Production Index registered a
variation of 4.0% in August, as compared with the same month of the previous year. This
rate was 3.6 points higher than that registered in July.
The original series of the IPI recorded an annual variation of 6.9%. This rate was 12.4 point
higher than that of July.

Results by Autonomous Community. Annual variation rates of the Industrial
Production. Original series.
The annual rate of the Industrial Production increased in thirteen Autonomous Communities.
The greatest increases were registered in Comunidad Foral de Navarra (26.6%), Comunidad
de Madrid (14.0%) and País Vasco (11.4%).
In turn, the greatest decreases were registered in Principado de Asturias (–9.2%),
Extremadura (–3.8%) and La Rioja (–2.8%).
