My dear brothers and sisters,
Mis queridos hermanos y hermanas en el Señor,
SUMMER IS HERE! Many of you will pack
your bags and leave on vacation. St.
Katharine Drexel NEVER goes on Vacation.
The Church is open all summer long. Our
electricity is still on, our office staff continues
to work, the grass needs to be mowed, the
Church needs to be cleaned, and ministries
carry on their work through the entire summer.
We continue to hold Daily Mass. All our
programs keep running over the summer. We
at the Church, also use the
summer to prepare for all the
work that takes place when you
come back from vacation. We
still need to pay our bills even
though you are on vacation !

harán sus maletas y se irán de vacaciones. St.
Katharine Drexel NUNCA va de Vacaciones. La
Iglesia esta abierta durante todo el verano.

The Vocations Office of the Archdiocese of Miami is hosting
a discernment retreat for young adult men (Ages 18-30).
The retreat will start at 9 a.m. on June 25 and it will
end at 2 p.m. on June 26. It will be held on the grounds
of St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami and consists
of numerous talks, liturgies, and social events with the seminarians and
priests.
Participants will have ample time to ask questions, gain an understanding of
seminary life and prayerfully consider God's call. If you would like to attend,

We have classes from kindergarten through Confirmation. Children that do not attend a
Catholic school should attend religious education every school year as faith formation is a
gradual process that cannot be rushed. Our goal is to instill a Catholic identity. Classes should
not be just for the reception of the sacraments.
Registration 2016-2017
Please check your children’s folder for the bright orange registration form for religious education
2016-2017. Children that are currently in our program may register as of June 1st. New student
registration begins June 16, the new registration form is on our web page. Please remember that
classroom space is limited so please register early. Keep your children’s extracurricular activities
in mind when you register. There will be no changes after August 31. Registration is on a first
come, first serve basis. There will be no registrations week of September 12.
Registration hours are 9:30 am - 11:30 am and 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
We need Catechists - Pass On the Good News!
The Good News of Jesus Christ and our Catholic faith! This coming fall we are planning for more
than 800 students, Kindergarten - Confirmation. You can help them learn and grow in faith by
becoming a catechist for Faith Formation. As you nurture the faith of our young, you will learn
and grow as well. “To teach is to learn”. We will provide you with training, materials, and
