The 1st book of the Swanlea Spinsters series is near perfection!
If you want the H and h quoting Shakespeare to one another, 'A Dangerous Love' has that in
abundance.
The hero, Griff is a bit of an ass, quick to anger and can lie easily(ergo his disguise-but even when
that is found out he keeps some of his cards to his chest which for the story is great but for being a
good human being, not so great) BUT he does a nice bit of 'grovelling' or rather 'convincing' in the

that is found out he keeps some of his cards to his chest which for the story is great but for being a
good human being, not so great) BUT he does a nice bit of 'grovelling' or rather 'convincing' in the
end which was actually really cute and pretty selfless of him.(basically risks everything he has to get
her to marry him.) Besides from being an ass, he can actually be really likable-At least I wanted to
flirt with him and talk about all the naughty things in Shakespeare.
The Heroine, Rosalind is completely likable-a total 'Amazon' as Griff fondly calls her if a bit
naive/easily seduced but she does have Griff seducing her so it's completely understandable. I liked
that she was 'Chubby' and she was insecure about it-But Griff is like 'DAMNNNNNN' every time he
looks at her, totally in to all her curves and edges which, once again, is adorable. He's infatuated
right from the get go-their meet cute is actually pretty awesome.(She comes at him with a sword!
Loved it.)
Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this for the witty banter between the H and h(Shakespeare, and
finding all the possible words for the H's penis in Shakespeare's works), unforgettable scenes and
an all round good story. ONE THING that skived me out a bit is that the H and h are cousins-distant
cousins but still.

Why only 3 stars? I loved the witty banter, plot line, the typical SJ formula which I love, the
secondary characters (can't wait for Helena and Daniel's story!!). What didn't I love? The two main
characters. Although I liked Griff a bit more, I didn't feel a connection to either one of them. In fact at
times I grew tired of Rosalind, and highly annoyed. I don't think she did anything wrong, but
obviously there was just something I can put my finger on to cause me not to really like them. I think

Rosalind never did anything by half-measures, it sorta felt like she did. I just wanted her to make up
her mind about anything already. Griff was okay, but I didn't feel the love. And while I get the several

Shakespeare quotes, I found it odd for two people to talk in quotes so often. Onward to Daniel the
highwayman's son and Lady Helena! This promises to be interesting!

After reading the first few sentences, I was hooked. I always liked the identity-swapping conflict and
anticipating how it'll be resolved. This story was quite unpredictable so that's another plus. While the
setting was mostly in Swanlea Park, the characters' wit and banter were exciting enough.
I immediately liked Rosalind! I have a thing for independent, sassy, and sharp-tongued heroines.
Aside from her striking good looks and her passion to be an actress, she also has a fancy for loud
colors.

Lust overcame the characters because of their fierce attraction for each other. It was rampant and
addictive for the both of them. Griff liked Rosalind's mind and enjoyed being in her company, and I
commend her suspicious nature. Both of them are on equal footing when it comes to their

intelligence. While revenge is on Griff's mind, Rosalind only cares about her family. I didn't like the
fake earl; even though he's suffering for it out of guilt and remorse, he wasn't really able to redeem
himself.
There were a lot of funny moments and I appreciated it. Not all historical romance novels have it and
I always love a good laugh. It's amazing how Ms Jeffries construct her characters, Helena, the
eldest is beautiful but because of her limp, she's unattractive to the eyes of most people, except for
Daniel of course. Those two have strong undercurrents.
The love scenes were passionate and because Griff and Rosalind are falling in too deep, they
exchanged harsh words and Griff did everything to make her his. I admired Rosalind's decision to
move away and pursue her dream, because it made Griff realize how much he needed her, and her
love. So, another case of "don't know what you have 'til it's gone". I'm looking forward to reading the
next!

cada una de ellas sea única y nos llamen la atención por motivos muy diferentes. Rosalind es
avispada, resuelta e inteligente. Tiene un gran carácter que aleja a los hombres de ella. Por su
parte, el protagonista masculino es Griffith, un hombre con un duro pasado que le ha marcado de
por vida y que ha hecho que su única misión en la vida sea recuperar lo que es suyo por derecho
pero le fue arrebatado.
AsÃ-, entre engaños y mentiras, su relación comienza a fraguarse sin que ninguno de los dos se
dé cuenta. Me ha encantado ver cómo poco a poco iban naciendo los sentimientos por ambas
partes. Sin embargo, a pesar de lo bonito de la relación, me ha parecido bastante sencilla, sin
demasiados vuelcos al corazón. Y esto hace que sea un libro interesante pero no imprescindible.
Sin embargo, he quedado bastante contenta con el conjunto de la novela, pero, sinceramente,
espero con ansias el siguente ejemplar de la trilogÃ-a, porque todo apunta a que la protagonista
será Helena y esta me gusta aun muchÃ-simo más que su hermana.
