LA FUNCION DEL REVIEWER
Antes, teníamos el Comité de Apelaciones al que se le
podían acercar las quejas sobre los fallos del Director. Ya
no tenemos Comité de Apelaciones.
El procedimiento para el fallo de un TD es el que sigue:
• Los TDs discuten entre ellos.
• En casos de duda, preguntan a un Panel (“Que haría
UD/declararía/saldría si…?”)
• El TD da el fallo.
Si usted no está de acuerdo con el procedimiento o si
encuentra algún error en la forma que ha sido manejado,
entonces puede recurrir al Reviewer.
• UD debe hacer esto si piensa:
• El TD aplicó la Ley equivocada.
• El TD se pasó por alto hechos importantes.
• El TD planteó la(s) pregunta(s) equivocadas al Panel.
El Reviewer tendrá en cuenta su queja y si descubre que
es válida, volverá el caso al TD para una nueva consideración.
Si el Reviewer piensa que su queja no tiene razón de ser, puede costarle algunos puntos:
1/2 top en parejas, 2 VPs en equipos, y 6 IMPs en
un match por knockout.
SISTEMAS
UD debe traer dos cartillas debidamente completadas
a la mesa. Debidamente completadas significa que ha
seguido las instrucciones en la Guía:
entonces explique su interpretación. Muchos las utilizan de manera diferente o no las usan en absoluto
en otros países.

READ CAREFULLY!
THE REVIEWER'S FUNCTION
Before, we had Appeals Committees to whom you could
bring complaints about Tournament Director rulings. We
no longer have ACs.
The procedure for a TD ruling is now as follows:
• The TDs discuss the case between them.
• In judgment cases, they will interview a Panel (“What
would you do/bid/lead if…?”)
• TD gives the ruling.
If you are not satisfied with the procedure – if you find
fault with the way the case was handled – then you may
apply to the Reviewer.
You should do this if you think:
•
TD applied the wrong Law
•
TD overlooked important facts
•
TD posed the wrong question(s) to the Panel
The Reviewer will consider your complaint and if he finds
it has merit, he will return the case to the TDs for renewed consideration.
If the Reviewer thinks your complaint has no
merit, it may cost you loss of points:
half a top in pairs, 2 VPs in teams, and 6 imps in
a knockout match.
SYSTEMS
You must bring two properly filled in WBF system cards
to the table. Properly means you have followed the instructions in the Guide to Completion of System Card:
Modified Smith, etc.). If you do, then explain your
interpretation. Many are used differently or not at
all in other countries.

area or toilets.
Any player, captain or
