12” x 18” POSTER BOARD or HEAVY WEIGHT PAPER ONLY
THEME MUST APPEAR ON FRONT OF POSTER
COLOR, BLACK & WHITE and GRAPHICALLY DESIGNED posters will be accepted
Please:
NO collage and/or pasted elements and pictures (Elements fall off)
NO trademark or publicly known figures
****Back of poster MUST display (neatly typed or printed): Student’s name, school, grade, school
contact person, and home phone. See the attachment at the bottom of this flyer.
JUDGING CRITERIA




Impact of Message: Spelling Counts! Also, theme should be legible and easy to read.
Integration of Theme: Drawing should relate to theme.
Originality and Creativity: Avoid previous years’ designs or copying ideas
Design: Are all elements clear and easy to understand? Do they relate to each other and create a
pleasing composition?
ONE ENTRY per Student WILL BE ACCEPTED IN EITHER ENGLISH or SPANISH CATEGORIES
Each entrant will receive a certificate of participation

Categories: Grades 1 - 3, Grades 4 - 6, Grades 7 - 9, and Grades 10 – 12
THERE WILL BE 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD PLACE PRIZES FOR THE GRAPHIC DESIGN CATEGORY
(GRADES 7-12 only), EACH TO BE IN THE RUNNING FOR GRAND PRIZE.
Grand Prize posters will be professionally printed, distributed across the county, and original
posters will be professionally framed! Winning posters may also be featured in a 2015-16 ADAC
calendar.
***A Drawing will be held to pick a co-emcee for the award ceremony. Any candidate of the poster contest is
qualified. If you want to be considered, check the appropriate box in the entry form. ***
Winners will be recognized at an awards presentation in May 2015

“LA VIDA ES UNA AVENTURA. ¡EXPLÓRELA
LIBRE DE DROGAS Y ALCOHOL!”
Requisitos:
Arte Original
12”x 18” Cartulina o “Poster Board”
El tema debe aparecer en la parte delantera del cartel
Serán aceptados carteles de color, blanco y negro, gráficamente diseñados
Por Favor:
No use pegamento para fijar las fotos o elementos en el cartel (se pueden despegar)
No use marcas registradas o figuras públicamente conocidas
****En la parte posterior del cartel DEBE mostrar (escrito nítidamente en la computadora e
impreso): Nombre del estudiante, escuela, grado, contacto en la escuela y el número de
teléfono del padre o tutor. Por favor, refiérase al volante incluido al final de esta página.




Criterio de Evaluación
Impacto del mensaje: ¡Deletreo, cuenta! También, el tema debe ser claro y fácil de leer.
Integración del tema: El dibujo debe estar relacionado con el tema.
Originalidad y Creatividad: Evite diseños de años anteriores o ideas copiadas.
Diseño: ¿Son todos los elementos claros y fáciles de entender? ¿Se relacionan uno con el otro?

SE OTORGARÁN PREMIOS DE 1er, 2do y 3er LUGAR EN LA CATEGORÍA DE DISEÑO GRÁFICO
(solamente grados 7-12), CADA UNO PODRÁ COMPETIR PARA EL PREMIO MAYOR.
Los carteles que reciban el Premio Mayor serán profesionalmente impresos y distribuidos en el condado. En
adición, los carteles originales serán profesionalmente enmarcados en cuadro. Los carteles ganadores también
podrán ser incluidos en el calendario 2015-16 de ADAC.
*** Para la ceremonia de premiación un co-emcee será elegido por medio de un sorteo. Todos los participantes
de este concurso pueden cualificar para co-emcee. Si usted está interesado(a), por favor indíquelo marcando el

Todos los ganadores serán reconocidos en la Presentación de Premios de Mayo del 2015.

Los CARTELES pueden ser ENTREGADOS en El CONCILIO DE ABUSO DE ALCOHOLISMO Y DROGAS
localizado al lado del museo “Hall of Fame of the Trotter” y detrás de “Catholic Charities Community
Services”
