Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled Or Afraid.
After witnessing the cruel killing of Jesus, what would the joy of Jesus’
disciples be like when they saw him coming back to them, the Risen Lord? I think
their hearts were filled with the greatest joy that can ever be held in a human soul.
But now the same Lord is telling them that He has to go to the Father. So again they
will be alone. Their hearts were not able to understand it. Why Lord? We do not
want you to go! But He said, "If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father."
We are never alone; He is always with us. Jesus brings us hope with His new promise, “The Advocate, the
Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”
And he adds, "Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." So there is no reason to be afraid when we face any difficult circumstance in our lives--sorrow, pain, illness, death-- because He has victory over sin and death, and there is
no power that can withstand the power of the Risen Lord.
If you are with me, Lord, who can be against me? There is nothing or anyone. He is our strength and our salvation.
Let us prepare for the great feast of the coming of the Holy Spirit-- Pentecost. Let us claim God. Lord, send
us your Spirit and renew the face of the earth.
May this approaching feast of Pentecost fill your soul with the power of the Holy Spirit, and may Mary, the
spouse of the Spirit, prepare our heart to receive it as she did.
"No se turbe tu corazón, no temas"
Como sería la experiencia del los discípulos y su gran alegría al ver a su Señor resucitado, después de ver esa
muerte tan cruel, ahora lo pueden contemplar en la gloria de la resurrección. Pero ahora el Señor le dice algo que no
pueden comprender, que se va al Padre. Nuevamente los deja. Los discípulos no quieren que El parta nuevamente
pero Jesús les dice: "Si me aman se alegrarán que vuelva al Padre."
Es que Jesús aunque se va al Padre, jamás nos abandona, y nos deja una maravillosa promesa: El abogado, el
Espíritu Santo que el Padre mandará en mi nombre les enseñará todo y les recordará todo lo que les he dicho." Y
añade: "No teman, lo se turbe vuestro corazón." Ahora no hay razón para temer en ninguna circunstancia; ni en el
dolor, o la enfermedad, o en la misma muerte siempre Dios está con nosotros y la victoria le pertenece sólo a El, no
hay fuerza mayor que la fuerza de Dios, ni persona ni cosa alguna pueden contra El; por eso confiemos en la infinita
gracia y poderío de Dios que nos acompaña.
Ahora nos estamos preparando para la fiesta de Pentecostés, la fiesta de la efusión del Espíritu Santo con sus
dones en nuestras vidas. Preparémonos con la oración y la apertura del corazón en la fe, con la confianza que si pedimos el Espíritu de Dios, El nos lo dará.
Que la efusión del Espíritu se de en nuestros corazones y nuestra Madre Celestial, Esposa del Espíritu nos
prepare a recibirlo como ella lo recibió.
