This is the second time that such a referendum is called. Now, like then, the UK intends to get a more favourable position within the EU, more exceptions and opting‐outs. The EU is meant to discuss the issue on 18‐19 February 2016. Will the EU accept such demand? Will the EU work well with differentiated integration? What would be the consequences of the UK’s exit of the EU – both for the EU and the UK?
