IX Ibero-American Meeting on Optics (RIAO) and the
XII Ibero-American Meeting of Optics, Lasers and Applications,
RIAO/OPTILAS 2016
Pucón, Chile, November 21-25, 2016
The journal Optica Pura y Aplicada (OPA), published by the Spanish Optical Society (SEDOPTICA),
aims to stimulate and promote the development of knowledge in the field of optics, and in particular in the
fields of scientific research, education and industrial applications needed for today's society. It also serves as
a forum for optics and photonics communication.
Thus, due to the upcoming RIAO/OPTILAS conference in Pucon, Chile, 2016, the Editing Committee
invites all meeting participants to publish the extended version of the communications presented there in
OPA, the journal of the Spanish Optical Society, member of the Ibero-American network of Optics (RIAO)
These articles will make up the proceedings of the conference, including new aspects of interaction
with colleagues during the meeting. All articles will be published in Spanish or English, and will undergo the
double review process characteristic of the journal. Submissions should contain something new, with
respect to other previous publications, according to the acceptance criteria of works published in the journal
website http://www.sedoptica.es/Menu_Volumenes/
OPA is included in international databases such as Scopus, Inspec, DOAJ and Latindex, and appears in
numeric listings for evaluation of journals (Scopus SNIP2014 = 0, 181, or Scimago Journal Rank SJR2014 = 0,
17). Author information for manuscript preparation, as well as a template for the layout, can be found on

The deadline for the submission of articles and communications in OPA will remain open until
November 03, 2016.
