Holy Child Jesus Parish is offering a Novena
of nine Masses during the Christmas season
beginning on Christmas Eve. Envelopes for
the Novena have been sent to registered
parishioners in the Christmas mailing.
Additional envelopes that say “Christmas
Mass Remembrance” are available at the
entrances to the church. Please write the
names of loved ones both living and deceased
on the envelopes and return them in the
collection at Mass before Christmas.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS
Please consider making an offering toward the
purchase of Christmas flowers to decorate the
sanctuary of our church for the Christmas
season. Your donation may be made in
memory of your loved ones. Please write their
names on the Christmas flower envelope and
place it in the collection at Mass. Extra

6 DE DICIEMBRE 2015. SEGUNDO DOMINGO DE ADVIENTO– CICLO C
Nos dice el evangelio de este domingo que; Juan el Bautista predicaba en el desierto un bautismo de
conversión. Esto es lo que verdaderamente necesitamos también que se nos predique en este tiempo
de adviento, y en todos los tiempos de nuestra vida, ya que vivimos en un mundo tan materializado
y poco temeroso de Dios.
Conversión: Esta no es fr uto solamente de nuestr o esfuer zo sino que sobr e todo es un milagr o de la
misericordia de Dios, que no quiere la muerte del pecador, sino que se convierta y viva. Convertirse significa
corregir el rumbo o dirección que se lleva. No podemos cambiar si creemos que no tenemos nada que cambiar, ni
que mejorar o modificar. Convertirse es retornar a la amistad con Dios. Es dedicarnos con seriedad a hacer lo que
tenemos que hacer sin esperar a que Dios lo haga todo. El autentico cristiano es aquel que reconoce sus
limitaciones y debilidades y la necesidad que tiene cada día de la ayuda de Dios. La conversión implica de
nosotros capacidad para pedir perdón, porque hemos disgustado a Dios y hemos hecho daño al prójimo, con
nuestro pecado manchando además, nuestra propia dignidad.

este año; su donativo, para decorar nuestro
templo con motivo de la celebración de

no; pueden encontrar el sobre apropiado, a
la entrada del templo. En dicho sobre,
puede incluir los nombres de sus seres
queridos, vivos o difuntos, por quienes
