ocasionado un nerviosismo en todo el
planeta. México no fue la excepción y la
crisis económica global comenzó a reflejarse en la inestabilidad del peso mexicano
frente al dólar, por lo que el Banco de
México decidió rematar 200 millones de
dólares diariamente hasta el último día del
mes de septiembre.
Banxico informó que para reducir la
probabilidad de que presiones adicionales pudiesen perturbar el funcionamiento
ordenado del mercado cambiario nacional, la Comisión de Cambios determinó
aumentar el monto de dólares subastado
diariamente de la siguiente manera:
Desde el pasado 31 de julio y hasta el
30 de septiembre de 2015 se incrementa
de 52 a 200 millones de dólares el monto a
ofrecer en las subastas sin precio mínimo.
Al término de este periodo se evaluará la
conveniencia de extender este mecanismo.
Adicionalmente, para las subastas
diarias con precio mínimo se mantiene el monto por 200 millones de dólares, pero a partir del pasado 31 de julio
el precio mínimo será el equivalente al
tipo de cambio FIX determinado el día
hábil anterior incrementado en uno por
ciento. Este mecanismo también tendrá
vigencia del 31 de julio al 30 de septiembre
de 2015 y al final de este plazo se evaluará
la conveniencia de extenderlo.

del proyecto, nosotros por supuesto que

on la participación de 26 estados de la
República Mexicana se llevará a cabo
en Palenque, Chiapas, la cuarta edición de
ATMEX, la feria turística más importante de
aventura de Latinoamérica que organiza la
Secretaría de Turismo Federal (SECTUR), el
Consejo de Promoción Turística de México
(CPTM) y la Asociación de la Industria
de Turismo de Aventura (ATTA, por sus
siglas en inglés).
La cita es un punto de encuentro para
reunir a compradores nacionales e internacionales con expositores de servicios
turísticos mexicanos especializados en
el segmento. ATMEX es un foro muy importante para ayudar a que los diferentes
destinos de aventura y naturaleza en nuestro país muestren su oferta turística y al
mismo tiempo la feria esta contribuyendo
a la derrama económica del estado.
“Chiapas posee siete de los nueve ecosistemas más representativos del país y
cuenta con ocho Áreas Naturales Protegidas donde se puede realizar alguna actividad de aventura y ecoturismo”, señaló
el licenciado Mario Uvence Rojas, secretario de turismo del estado. “Chiapas se está
consolidando como un pilar en la industria
de turismo de naturaleza y aventura gracias
a esta biodiversidad, lo que permite ofrecer a los turistas nacionales y extranjeros
diferentes espacios de recreación.”
La finalidad del evento es abrir un espacio exclusivo para la promoción y comercialización de productos y destinos
de turismo de aventura y naturaleza, en
el marco de uno de los estados con mayor
biodiversidad del país.

and has 8 Protected Natural Areas in
which adventure activities and ecotourism take place”, said Mario Uvence
Rojas, Secretary of Tourism for the
state. “Chiapas is consolidated as a
pillar for the natural and adventure
tourism industry thanks to our biodiversity, which offers Mexican and
foreign tourists different recreational spots”.
The objective of this event is to
open an exclusive space for promotion
and marketing of products and touristic adventure and natural sites in one
of the states with most biodiversity
in Mexico.

Gringo Gulch, el faro de la calle Matamoros y el mirador ubicado en la esquina de
las calles Matamoros y Corona.
Las tres rutas incluyen el mural diseñado por el pintor vallartense Manuel
Lepe, ubicado en la presidencia municipal
y las esculturas del malecón.
En tanto el fin de semana se invita a
los turistas en el malecón a tomarse una
fotografía con el letrero “I love PV”, para
que suban su foto a las redes sociales con
el #PuertoVallarta.

o que hoy es algo tan normal como
subir a un avión y recorrer grandes
distancias en corto tiempo, hace medio
milenio era sólo un sueño en la mente
de muchos. Volar es una realidad que
sigue en evolución, y que seguramente
en un futuro tendrá grandes cambios
que por ahora resultan impensables.
Del sueño al papel
La idea de volar tuvo su primer acercamiento formal en Leonardo Da Vinci,
en 1505. El artista, diseñador e inventor era un amante de la naturaleza y la
belleza funcional que cada uno de los
seres tenía, en especial las aves. Esa
pasión quedó plasmada en el Códice
sobre el vuelo de las aves, recientemente
expuesto en el Palacio de Bellas Artes
de la Ciudad de México.
A lo largo de 18 páginas, Da Vinci
describe detalladamente el proceso
mediante el cual un ave logra desplazarse por los aires. Minuciosamente reseña
la anatomía de sus cuerpos, la técnica
para elevarse, y lo complementa con
estudios de equilibrio, balance, peso
y movimientos, que son claves para
el proceso. Leonardo se basó en todo
esto para proponer, al final, una serie de
artefactos que el hombre pudiera usar
para volar, sin que ninguno resultara
seguro ni funcional en absoluto.

Teoría en práctica
Si bien los diseños de Da Vinci no fueron
cercanos a los aviones de hoy en día, el
estudio del artista florentino dejó las bases
teóricas para conocer la estrecha relación
entre el aire y quien lo surca. Incluso
algunas hipótesis lograron desmentirse,
como el hecho de pensar que el uso de
las alas era una especie de remos que
impulsaban el aire hacia atrás, como si
se tratara de una navegación acuática.
La clave se descubrió con la compresión del aire, lo que permite un juego de
presiones de aire entre la parte superior
e inferior del ala, con lo que el ave puede elevarse. Estudios sobre el punto de
equilibrio ubicado en el cuerpo central,
y el papel que juega la parte posterior en
la dirección y el balance, son aspectos
fundamentales de la investigación.
Da Vinci tuvo suerte de no morir en
los múltiples intentos fallidos por volar,
con un sinnúmero de inventos que desarrolló luego de hacer su estudio sobre
el vuelo de las aves. Todos quedaron en
grandes ideas del genio italiano, no logró
ver llevadas a la práctica.
Renace la esperanza
El sueño quedó congelado prácticamente
cuatro siglos, pues fue hasta finales del
XIX y principios del XX, que se tuvo un
importante impulso en el mundo por desarrollar la máquina que hiciera volar al
hombre, y que éste pudiera controlarla
por los aires.
Sin embargo, ya desde el siglo XVIII los
primeros globos aerostáticos coloreaban
los cielos, entre el asombro y el miedo.
Esferas con aire caliente en su interior
hacían que éste fuera menos denso que
aquél a temperatura ambiente, por lo que
podía flotar llevando una canastilla con
algunas personas a bordo, pero sin poder
tener control de la dirección. Por ello hubo
que esperar casi dos siglos más, para ver al
primer dirigible Zeppelín, y los primeros
prototipos de avión.
Fue cuando la conquista del aire empezó nuevos bríos, las ideas por construir
una máquina más pesada y que fuera capaz
de elevarse, controlarse y desplazarse
por medios propios estaba más cerca de
la realidad. En Francia, Alemania, Rusia,
Estados Unidos ya se venían intentos con
más frecuencia.
La historia dejó el crédito a los hermanos estadounidenses Wilbur y Orville
Wright como los padres de la aviación
moderna, en los primeros años del siglo
XX. Sin embargo, otros se lo atribuyen al
brasileño asentado en Francia, Alberto
Santos Dumont, que por esos años hizo
también el primer vuelo público registrado en la historia. Lo cierto es que ambas
hazañas, junto con la cadena de esfuerzos
por lograrlo, son la continuidad de un
sueño que empezó en 1505 y cuyo fin
está lejos de verse.
Nuevos avances
Después de convertir el sueño en realidad
y crear una máquina capaz de elevar a los
seres humanos, el mundo de la aviación
ha tenido muchos cambios y constantes
evoluciones que han conllevado numerosas
transformaciones. Hoy en día llegamos al
proyecto llamado Solar Impulse, un avión
que propulsado con la energía del Sol pretende dar la vuelta al mundo en 25 días, y
demostrar la capacidad de las fuentes de
energía renovables.

plane and traveling huge distances
in a short time was nothing more than
a dream in the minds of a few half a
millennium ago. Today, it is a reality
which is constantly evolving, and the
future will certainly bring changes that
seem ungraspable in current times.
From dream to paper
The idea of flight was first approached
formally by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1505.
The artist, designed and inventor was a
lover of nature and the functional beauty
of each being within it, especially birds.
His passion was recorded in his Codex
on the flight of birds, recently showcased
at the Museum of Fine Arts in Mexico City.
In 18 pages, Da Vinci details the
process that allows birds to flow through
the air. He thoroughly analyzed their
anatomy and elevation techniques and
includes studies about balance, equilibrium, weight and movement, which are
key to the process. Based on all of this,
he proposes a series of artifacts for men
to fly, none of which was even remotely
capable of flying.
Practical knowledge
While Da Vinci’s designs do not resemble modern airplanes, the Florentine
artist’s studies laid the groundwork that
would lead to discovering the tight-woven

relationship between air and those who
flow through it. Some assertions were
dismissed, such as the idea that wings
worked as a kind of paddles that pushed
air backwards, similar to water propulsion.
The key was found in the compression of air, which causes a pressure difference between the upper and lower
parts of the wing, enabling birds to fly.
Studies about the center of equilibrium,
located in the center of the body, and the
role that the hinds play in direction and
balance, were basic elements of research.
Da Vinci was lucky not to die after
many failed attempts at flying, using an
endless number of contraptions that
he built after years of researching bird
flight. They all remained as big ideas, but
the Italian genius could never manage
to get his feet off the ground.
Hope reborn
The dream was buried for the next four
centuries, since it was until the turn of
the 19th century when important strides
were made towards developing a machine that could enable human flight so
that we could circumnavigate the skies.
However, since the 18th century, air
balloons already colored the sky, to the
amazement and dismay of onlookers.
Spheres with hot air inside, which is
less dense than the air surrounding it,
making it float, carry a gondola with a

few people on board, but have no direction control. Two more centuries would
have to pass before the first Zeppelin
airship was built, and the first airplane
prototypes began to spring up.
When the conquest of the sky gained
momentum, the idea of building a heavier machine that could take off, control
and propel itself was inching closer to
reality. More and more attempts were
taking place in France, Germany, Russia
and the United States.
History acknowledges brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright as the fathers of
modern aviation, taking off at the start
of the 20th century. However, some say
that Alberto Santos Dumont, a Brazilian
living in France, performed the first ever
public flight in history. The reality is
that both feats, along with all the effort
needed to achieve, can be traced back to
a dream that began in 1505 and the end
of which is nowhere near close.
New developments
After turning dreams into reality and building
a machine that could carry people through
the skies, the world of aviation has experienced many changes and has experienced
many transformations. Nowadays, there is
the Solar Impulse project, a plane powered
by solar energy intended to circle the globe
in 25 days to demonstrate the efficiency of
renewable energy.

a Procuraduría Federal de Protección
al Ambiente y la Comisión Nacional
de Acuacultura y Pesca realizan operativos de vigilancia en la costa sur de Tamaulipas para sensibilizar a los pescadores de la
temporada de anidación de tortugas Lora,
sobre su cuidado y la atención para evitar
el enmallamiento de esa especie. Asimismo
se vigiló el nacimiento de más de 97 mil
crías de tortuga Lora en los 2018 nidos del
Santuario Playa Rancho Nuevo, Tamaulipas.
Y se continúa con la contabilización de
las crías en los campamentos ubicados en
Barra del Tordo, y playas Tesoro y Miramar
de esa entidad.
Cabe destacar que la tortuga Lora anida
en varias playas del Golfo de México: desde
Luisiana, Estados Unidos, hasta Campeche,
siendo su principal playa de anidación el
Ejido de Rancho Nuevo, Tamaulipas, en
nuestro país.
Por otro lado, la CONANP, a través del
Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga, registró
más de nueve mil nidos de tortuga Golfina
en la segunda arribada al Santuario Playa
de Escobilla, en el estado de Oaxaca. Durante las dos primeras arribadas ocurridas
en la presente temporada de anidación
2015-2016, se han registrado ya 11 mil 300
nidadas, superando lo ocurrido durante
las primeras dos arribadas de la temporada pasada con apenas 2,876 anidaciones.

peligro de extinción está protegida bajo la norma que
prohíbe su captura (NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010)
• Las arribazones se dan en 12 playas del mundo de

ellas dos en Oaxaca.

50, y cuya vida ha dedicado a disciplinas

La disyuntiva que juegan sus piezas
visuales, con su trabajo editorial, es el eje
central de esta muestra, que reúne una
selección de obras de diseño, libros, esculturas y pinturas. Alrededor de 400 objetos
podrán ser apreciados, en una exposición
que hace una retrospectiva histórica que,
como línea de tiempo, nos guía hasta
la actualidad.

de su trabajo: la letra que emite un mensaje
comunicativo claro, y la imagen que es

tenso vínculo que une a estas esferas está
en las manos de Rojo, quien destaca cómo
la geometría y las formas rodean nuestra
vida diaria, incluso hasta en el alfabeto.
Los campos interdisciplinarios con los
que convive el artista se reflejan en obras
como Artefacto (1969), su mostrador de
libros pintados, Señales y negaciones de los
60 y 70, Discos visuales que produjo para
Octavio Paz en 1968, hasta títulos de más
reciente creación como Novela (2007) y
Jaque Mate (2011).
Dos visiones hacia un destino
La exposición está dividida en dos partes.
En la primera muestra claramente la serie
de tensiones entre la letra y la pintura en
el trabajo de Rojo. Contiene una serie de
obras de diseño gráfico, libros, portadas,
bocetos y una serie de esculturas y pinturas,
elaboradas desde la década de los años 60
hasta fechas más recientes.
Una segunda parte presenta, por primera vez, la serie “Casa de letras”, trabajo que
viene realizando desde el 2012 a la fecha,
y donde Rojo evidencia la continuidad de
su línea de trabajo. Una serie de obras pictóricas y esculturas de gran talante, donde
busca el reencuentro de la plástica con el
texto y la gráfica.
El público tiene la oportunidad de conocer una de las propuestas artísticas más
interesantes, que aunque datan de mediados del siglo pasado, siguen vigentes en

Vicente Rojo stands out for the functional differentiation and practice of
both activities in his work: writing that
expresses a clear communicative message, and the images that are freer and

The exposition is divided in two parts,

work of Rojo. His work includes a series

The second part presents for the
first time the series House of Letters, a
work that Rojo has been creating since
2012 and in which he shows continuity
in his line of work. A series of picture
and sculpture works of great talent
in which he seeks to reunite plastic
arts with text and graphics.
The audience has the opportunity to see one of the most interesting
artistic concepts that, even though
it dates back to the last century, it is
still contemporary.
