“The effect of our receiving the Body and Blood of
Christ is to change us into what we receive!”
... What a fantastic ‘Fiesta De Las Flores’ last
weekend (9). It was great fun from start to finish,
and mighty to see so many come out and spend
time together as a parish family.
... There are so so many involved in its planning,
preparation, and wonderful success on the weekend! We truly applaud and appreciate the great
Fiesta Team that made it possible. Mark and
Theresa Coyle, Tim and Lee Anne Walsh, Dave and
Jan Scatena, Greg Butler, Blane Adessa, Isaac Deken, Deacon Bob, Mary Moran, Kathy Roth, Brian
and Jennifer Dorsey, Mitch Phillippe, Earleen Diaz,
Dave Pavnic, Jim and Barbara Leuer, Dan Schuh,
Jill Burke, Matt Williamson, Adan Altamirano and
Rafael Navarro ... all leading the way! And our
many parish groups and organizations (listed on
Page 6) kept it going! Mighty! Thanks to all!
... And delicious food, of all sorts! We had the best
beef ever for our hamburgers and burritos! Those
wonderful desserts, served by our youth, and pizza
and popcorn, and the ever popular ice-cream to go!
... Our Game Area was fun and happily staffed by
our Scouting Troop 776 and Saint John School parents and students, and our Kiddie Play-Area so well
organized and extremely popular.
... In the Grand Drawing, Tim Swartz won our
$5,000 first prize, John Zygowicz the $2,500 second
prize, Kyle Quinn the $1,000 third prize, while Beverly McCormick won the $500 fourth prize.
... Our Early-Bird $100 winners were Jadiga Robakowski, Lisa Adams and Kathe Bridges! Thanks
to Dave and Jan Scatena and Barb and Jim Leuer,
for their months of dedicated work in organizing
the Grand Drawing!
... And the entertainment was superb throughout
the weekend, with our own Ashley Jenks and Celia
Bartholomew of The Jenks Band, Andy Weiss (who
flew-in from Missouri to be with us) with the The
Weiss Guys, Tower 7 and Dan Kasperick doing his
solo pitch. We also greatly enjoyed the superb Mariachis La Voz de Mexico, Ballet Folklorica Herencia Mexicana Dancers, and Ann Heller with Fleetwood MAX playing us out!
... Relive the cherished memories and enjoy the
many encounters of the Fiesta, captured by Deacon
Bob and his team of photographers, some of which
adorn this bulletin! Watch for more details!
August 16, 2015

$14,736.00 with 331 families using parish envelopes, and a further $4,547.56 was contributed

JUNTA PARA TODOS
LOS MINISTROS EXTRAORDINADIOS
DE COMUNION Y LOS MINISTROS DE
HOSPITALIDAD
templo-hogar. No anda mariposeando, nerviosa y
preocupada.
