El aprendizaje de una segunda lengua es un medio
efectivo para proyectar las trayectorias educacionales
y profesionales de quienes se desenvuelven como
hablantes en más idiomas que sólo su lengua nativa. El
manejo del inglés, otorga herramientas para desenvolverse en un mundo globalizado en el que el aprendizaje
de otro idioma es de suma importancia.
Learning a second language is an effective mean to
project the educational and professional career paths
of those who get along in languages different from their
native language. English proficiency provides tools to
get along in a globalized world therefore learning
another language is important.
En este contexto, el aprendizaje de otra lengua amplía
las expectativas laborales de los profesionales de la
educación, les ofrece desafíos interesantes desde el
punto de vista profesional en la adquisición de herramientas didácticas de aprendizaje a nivel metodológico y desarrolla la capacidad de reactualizar conocimientos.
El Tercer Seminario Académico de Inglés, Perfeccionando su enseñanza, busca congregar a especialistas en el
área con el objetivo de ofrecer a los participantes una
instancia de actualización y aprendizaje.
In this context, learning another language expands the
job expectations of education professionals, offers
interesting challenges from the professional point of view
on the acquisition of didactic learning tools at a methodological level and develops the ability to retrain
knowledge.

Enseñanza del idioma basado en el
contenido y el inglés
Profesora de Educación y directora del programa de
doctorado en Language, Literacy and Culture en la University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Ha sido codirectora del programa de magíster en ESOL/Educación Bilingüe
y actualmente se desempeña como docente en dicho
programa.
La Dra. Crandall ha trabajado en todas las áreas y niveles
del programa de inglés como lengua extranjera (ESL), incluyendo la enseñanza, investigación, desarrollo curricular,
evaluación, desarrollo de estándares y capacitación
docente. Es autora de más de cien libros, artículos y monografías en temas relacionados con el currículum, políticas
públicas y evaluación de programas de inglés como
lengua extranjera.

JoAnn (Jodi) Crandall is Professor of Education and Director
of the Doctoral Program in Language, Literacy, and Culture
at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She
has been Co-Director of the MA Program in ESOL/Bilingual
Education and she still teaches in the program.
Dr. Crandall has worked in all areas of secondary and
tertiary level ESL, including teaching, research, curriculum
development, program evaluation, standards development, and teacher training. She is the author of more than
100 books, articles and monographs related to curriculum,
teacher education, public policy, and assessment for English as a Second or Foreign Language.

inglés con mención en lingüística aplicada de la Universidad de Lancaster en el Reino Unido. Ha sido coordinador
de Lengua Inglesa integrada en la Universidad Alberto
Hurtado y asesor encargado del diseño de carrera de
Pedagogía en Inglés de la Universidad Diego Portales. Es el
autor del libro “Validity Enquiry into a Language Test: An
Experience in Chile”, 2009.
Classroom Assessment: focus on learning
Professor of English from the Universidad Metropolitana de
Ciencias de la Educación and MA in teaching English with
a minor in applied linguistics at the University of Lancaster in
the UK. He has been coordinator of Integrated English
language of the University Alberto Hurtado and advisor in
charge of designing the English teaching career of the
Universidad Diego Portales. He is author of the book "Validity
Enquiry into a Language Test: An Experience in Chile”, 2009.

Cambridge. Ha sido docente por más de treinta y dos años
y es Co- fundadora del Colegio Río de la Plata Sur en Berazategui en la provincia de Buenos Aires.

obtained his General Certificate of Education at the University of Cambridge. she has taught for over thirty-two years
and is Co-Founder of the Colegio Rio de la Plata Sur in Berazategui, Buenos Aires.
Neurosicoeducadora con un grado como Self-Esteem
Practitioner Degree otorgado por Robert Reasoner, USA y
ha estado aplicando este modelo de aprendizaje por los
últimos catorce años. Ha dictado un sin número de conferencias y congresos a nivel mundial compartiendo su
pasión por el cerebro y el rol que juegan las emociones en
el aprendizaje. Actualmente es entrenadora de profesores
para Oxford University Press y conferencista de la Asociación Educar.
She is a Neurosicoeducator , with a Self-Esteem Practioner
Degree from Robert Reasoner, USA and has been putting
the learning model into practice for the last fourteen years.
She has spoken at countless conferences and seminars
throughout the world sharing her passion for the brain and
the role of emotions in learning. She is currently an International Teacher Trainer for Oxford University Press and a
Speaker for Asociación Educar.
