If you have a registered parishioner to add to our
prayer list, please contact the executive assistant in the
parish office. Please let us know when it is time to
remove a name from the list. Please inscribe the
names of non-parishioners (e.g. family members,
friends, neighbors, co-workers) in the prayer intention
book found in the church vestibule. Please inscribe
their name only once as their needs will be
remembered at Masses throughout the year.
If you are hospitalized or homebound and would like
to receive Communion, please call Andy Kudarauskas
at 843-705-3435.
You may also contact someone from the Eucharistic
Apostles of Divine Mercy who will pray the Chaplet of
Divine Mercy or other prayers with you. Please call
Lillian Pente at 843-705-7170
The license plate on a friend’s car reads “56789.”
When someone asked him about it, he said, “Those are
the commandments I’m good at.” We all had a laugh
but, in truth, the commandments bear deeper reflection.
To pretend that our obedience of the Ten
Commandments is limited to the literal words
themselves is spiritually shallow. We may not have
killed someone, but have we ever thought how much
better it would be if someone weren’t in our workplace
or school? Have we ever hated someone with a passion
that interferes with our actions?
We may not have stolen
something from a retail store,
but have we ever taken anything
that doesn’t belong to us—
ideas, supplies from work?
These don’t belong to us. Are
there ways in which we really
want what a friend has or fail to
remain faithful in body, mind and
spirit? The Ten Commandments impact us far more
than we realize.
In today’s gospel, Jesus demonstrates how far the
moneychangers in the temple area have strayed from
the true spirit of the worship of God. They probably
hadn’t given it much thought—it was the way they’d
always done business. But their action made things
difficult for others.
God demands a transformation that deals not only
with the wrong everyone can see, but with the subtle
ways we violate God’s laws and fail to love.
The middle of Lent is a good time for us to
examine—and repent of—all the ways in which we do
this.

“Would you not spend one hour with Me?”
Eucharistic Adoration is adoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ
Our Perpetual Adoration Chapel gives us an opportunity to spend an hour of prayer and give thanks for
the many blessings we have received. This hour in peace and meditation with the Blessed Sacrament
can also be an opportunity to pray for our friends and family who are sick or just need our prayers.
Christ instituted this Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist in order to remain with mankind until the end of time (Jn.
14:18).
Our wish is to have someone present for each of the 24 hours throughout the day in silent
contemplation and reflection. We can use more adorers for this ministry. Please be generous with your time and
sign up for one hour of adoration.
If you have any questions or feel you can sign up for just one hour per week please call John Klinger
757-7454 or send an email to [email protected].

comprende nuestra naturaleza humana (Hebreos 2:1718).

PARISH RETREAT WEEKEND
SPONSORED BY:
CHRIST RENEWS HIS PARISH
Making a retreat involves a sacrifice for nearly everyone.
Who has the time? Nevertheless, every year busy people
do make a retreat. They feel the need to take time out, to
think about their life and their relationship with God. Not a
luxury for a pious few, retreats are really needed by all of
us.
St. Gregory the Great conducts a retreat weekend twice a
year under the spiritual direction of Deacon Greg Sams,
Director of Renewal Ministries, and member of our
Parish. The retreats begin Saturday morning, include an
overnight, and end Sunday afternoon. The next Women’s
Retreat is scheduled for March 21st to 22nd also at St.
Andrew. Detailed brochures are available at the back of
the Church and at the entrance to the Adoration Chapel.
For additional information or questions, please contact
Deacon Greg Sams at (843) 384-9336 or

a follower of Christ in the modern world.
As a group, we discuss relevant topics that we are
constantly faced with. Please join us. We hope to
