Dear Parent or Guardian,
Our staff will soon begin to build classes for the 2015-2016 school year. This is one of our
most important tasks to prepare for the coming year. Throughout this process, our goal is
to place students in the best possible learning setting. We try to build classes that are
balanced in terms of learning needs and styles, gender, emotional and social development,
academic achievement, and behavior.
We welcome parent involvement in this process, as we recognize that parents know their
children better than anyone else. If you would like to offer insight, share your
perspective, or express a need on behalf of your child, we invite you to write a letter and
submit it to the main office. Because we cannot grant requests for specific teachers,
we ask that your letter focus on your child's learning style, significant learning
experiences for him/her, and/or the type of teaching style to which your child responds
best.
We ask that all requests be submitted no later than Friday, April 24th. We will use the
information you provide, along with input from teachers, to place your child in a classroom
that will best meet his or her needs.

Estimados Padres o Tutores Legales,
Nuestro personal pronto comenzará la construcción de clases para el año escolar 2015-2016.
Esta es una de nuestras tareas más importantes para prepararnos para el próximo año. A lo
largo de este proceso, nuestro objetivo es colocar a los estudiantes en grupos lo mejor
posible. Tratamos de crear las clases que están equilibrados en términos de necesidades y
estilos de aprendizaje, el género, el desarrollo emocional y social, el logro académico y el
comportamiento.
Les invito a que a que participen en este proceso, ya que reconocemos que los padres
conocen a sus hijos mejor que nadie. Si desea ofrecer una visión, compartir su punto de vista,
o expresar una necesidad, en nombre de su hijo, le invitamos a escribir una carta y enviarla a
la oficina principal. Debido a que es muy difícil consentir las solicitudes específicas para
escoger maestros, le pedimos que su carta se concentre en el estilo de aprendizaje de su
hijo(a), las experiencias de aprendizaje significativas para él / ella y / o el tipo de enseñanza
que su estudiante responde mejor.

Small Card, BIG Results 2015 District 46 Major Saver Campaign 46​
Foundation​
is once again offering Major Saver cards for sale through the District 46 th​
K-­8 schools. Students will receive the sales packets on Monday, March 30​
. Students th​
will be selling the $10 discount cards until Monday, April 13​. Proceeds from the sale of Major Saver cards directly support the participating schools. Last year, the Foundation raised ​
over $10,900​
through the sale of the Major Saver cards​

This year 20% of funds raised by each student will be given to his or her school and the remaining ​
80% will be used to fund science experiments and other hands on learning opportunities to align with the Next Generation Science Standards​

The 2015 participating businesses include Buffalo Wild Wings, Subway, Dog n Suds, McDonalds, Jump Zone, Culver’s, Pizza Hut, Dalton’s Cakes, Penn Station, Rosati’s, Somethings Brewing, Sammie’s, Emil’s, Tastee Freez, Uniquely Sweet, Arby’s, Kristof’s and The Vine, which has included an incredible offer of up to $12 off! Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com​
. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be ​
mailed​

directly to the customer. Don’t want to carry a card around? Major Saver cards can also be purchased, and credited to a student, through the Major Saver App. Once the free app is downloaded to an Android or iOS device, buyers can choose a Major Saver card through the “buy cards” tab on the app. Once the buyer completes the transaction the offers will be stored in the Major Saver App. Patrons can then redeem offers directly from the app and do not need a physical card. Major Saver stresses safe selling and discourages door to door campaigning. The company encourages students to sell to family members, church patrons, neighbors, or other adults the family may know;; and to always make sure their parents are involved.
