LA VIRGEN VA DE VIAJE
THE VIRGIN GOES ON A JOURNEY
En Navidad todos los creyentes dirigimos
nuestra mirada y volvemos a contemplar a
María la madre de Jesus. Ella que un día fue
de viaje hasta Ain Karim donde su prima
Isabel, esperaba un hijo. Después iría a Belén,
a cumplir el decreto de Cesar Augusto, más
tarde a Nazaret, a Egipto, a Cana, a Jerusalén,
a Éfeso...
During Christmas the sight of all believers
turns to contemplate Mary the mother of Jesus. She that one day traveled to Ain Karim
where her cousin Elizabeth awaited a son. Later she would travel to Bethlehem to fulfill the
decree by Caesar Augustus, much later to
Nazareth, to Egypt, to Cana, Jerusalem ,and
Ephesus.
Nuestra Señora visitara nuestros hogares esta Navidad. Es
ella la Madre de la Iglesia, y no podría estar ausente de
esta comunidad cristiana que es la familia. Ahí su imagen
nos recuerda y nos hace más viva su presencia.
Our Lady will visit our homes this Christmas. She is the
Mother of the Church, and she could not be absent from
this Christian community that is the family. There her
image reminds us and makes her presence more alive.
Ella viene a decirnos que fue pobre. El pan era escaso.
Nos dirá lo que sabe de ausencia, de angustia, de enfermedad, de incomprensión de los vecinos y de la soledad de la
viudez. Nos contara lo que sintió en la huida a Egipto,
cuando condenaron a muerte a Jesus, cuando se vio
desamparada...
She comes to tell us she was poor. Bread was scarce. She
will tell us she knows about absence, anguish, illness,
incomprehension of neighbors, and the solitude of the
widow. She will tell us how she felt in her flight to
Egypt, when Jesus was condemned to death, when she
found herself forsaken…
Pero también sabrá sonreír, enjugando las lágrimas de
gozo, si le preguntamos por la noche de la primera
Navidad y por el día de la Resurrección. La Virgen María
nos enseña a rezar, a tener fe en Dios a todas horas, a vivir
simplemente. Su visita nos hará mucho bien... Par a
algunos será madre que comparte las penas, para otros
vendrá como salud de los enfermos y consuelo de los
afligidos, para muchos como refugio de pecadores. Todos
necesitamos de su cariño maternal para olvidar un pasado
que todavía nos hiere, para reconciliarnos con nuestra
historia personal para soñar un futuro mejor de honradez y
sinceridad.
But also she knows how to smile, wiping away her tears
of joy, if we ask her about the night of the first Christmas
and on the day of the resurrection. The Virgin Mary
teaches us how to pray, to have faith in God at all times
and to live simply. Her visit will be good for us… For
some, she will be the mother that shares our troubles, for
others she will come as health for the sick and comfort
for the bereaved, and for many as a refuge for sinners.
We all need her maternal love in order to forget a past
that still haunts us, to reconcile with our personal history
to that we can dream of a better future with honor and
sincerity.
Es tan santo el Señor, y tan limpio de culpa el pesebre de
Belén, que antes de acercarnos debemos pedir perdón de
nuestros pecados. Pero María tiene sus manos y su
ministerio maternal, para engalanarnos el corazón y la
conciencia. De lo contrario, no podríamos mirar al Niño
de Belén, ni la bondad de Dios que se refleja en los ojos
de nuestros niños, cuando llega de nuevo la Navidad.
The Lord is so holy, and the manger in Bethlehem is free
of
guilt, that perhaps before approaching we must ask
forgiveness of our sins. But Mary has her hands and her
maternal ministry to spruce up our hearts and our conscience. To the contrary, we would not be able to look at
this Child from Bethlehem, nor the goodness of God that
is reflected in the eyes of our children when Christmas
comes again.
María va de visita a nuestra casa. Abrirle de par en
par la puerta es vivir a plenitud la Navidad!!!

Jesucristo es el rostro de la misericordia del Padre, que nos
revela su amor (cfr. Jn. 14,9). Jesus de Nazaret, con sus
Palabras, con sus gestos y toda su persona, revela la misericordia de Dios. El nos invita a ser parte de este gran ejercito de "Buenos Samaritanos" que vamos por el mundo,
sanando, dando de comer y sirviendo a los que nos necesiten, haciendo el BIEN... Oremos y actuemos !
THE FACE OF MERCY
Jesus Christ is the face of mercy of the Father that reveals
his love to us (Jn. 14,9). Jesus of Nazareth, with his words,
with his gestures and all his being, reveals the mercy of
God. He invites us to be part of this great plan of being
“Good Samaritans” as we go throughout the world healing,
giving food and serving those that are needy, doing
GOOD…Let us pray and act!

Todos pensariamos que cualquier nino
desearia tener un juguete como regalo
esta Navidad, sin embargo para un
nino pobre su sueno en navidad es
algo mas real y util:
1. Tener una charrmara para el frio...
2. Juntar dinero para cambiar el
techo de su humilde casita por
hay goteras...
3. Conseguir un calento para el frio
del invierno...
4. Tener algo para cenar en
Navidad....
5. Que su papa salga de la carcel
6. Que su mama recupere su salud
7. Conseguir una camita para su hermanita... Cosas todas
muy necesarias,
Usted, quiere ayudar a cumplir el sueno de estos ninos ?

POOR CHILDREN
We would all think that any child would want a toy for Christmas, nevertheless for a poor child his dream for Christmas is
more real and useful:
1. Have a jacket for the cold.
2. Save money to fix the roof in his humble house that has
leaks.
3. Get a heater to keep out the winter cold.
4. Have something to eat on Christmas.
5. That his father would get out of jail.
6. That his mother would recover her health.
7. Get a bed for his little sister… All necessary things,
Do you want to help these children fulfill their dreams?

Se aumento la oleda de niños migrantes indocumentados, que
estan llegando a través de la frontera, sin acompañante. El
Ministerio de Migración de la Parroquia, pide la solidaridad
de la Comunidad para alimentación y ropa para asistir a estos
niños que llegan con lo que traen puesto. Si desea ayudar

MORE IMIGRANT CHILDREN ARE ARRIVING
The wave of unaccompanied, undocumented migrant children
coming to the border is increasing. The Migrant Ministry of
the Parish asks for solidarity from the community for food and
clothing to help these children who come with only the clothes
they are wearing. If you want to help call these numbers,
(915) 867-1014 or (915) 252-1010… “I was a stranger and
you helped me.” Jesus!
