CTtransit makes schedule changes periodically to improve
the overall efficiency of its service. Adjustments will be
made to the following routes effective March 28, 2015
31 – Park Street-New Park Avenue
33 – Park Street-Park Road
39 – New Britain Avenue
41 – Hartford/New Britain via
Newington Center
66 – Farmington Avenue
69 – Capitol Avenue
83 – Silver Lane

ALL NEW BRITAIN ROUTES
In conjunction with the opening of CTfastrak, the hours
of service on all CTtransit bus routes serving New
Britain are being extended. Service will now operate:
•Weekdays and Saturdays from 6:00AM to Midnight
•Sundays and Holidays from 8:00AM to 8:00PM
Most routes will depart Bank Street hourly from 6:00AM
to 8:00PM and every 90 minutes from 8:00PM to
Midnight.
DOWNTOWN HARTFORD BUS STOPS
The following bus stops in downtown Hartford are
changing:
Effective Monday, March 22
•Atheneum Square – closed for long-term construction.
Routes 41, 59 and the dash shuttle will stop at Arch &
Main Streets instead.
•Union Place & Allyn Street – closed permanently.
Union Place is now a one-way street in the southbound
direction. As a result, the dash shuttle will stop on
Spruce Street instead.
Effective Saturday, March 28
•Travelers (Main & Atheneum) re-opens and will be
served by CTfastrak Routes 101, 102, 121 (to MCC) &
128, as well as CTtransit Express Routes 923, 924, 925
& 928.
•Main Street at Ancient Burying Ground re-opens and
will be served by CTfastrak Route 121 (to UConn Health).
CTtransit Express Routes 923, 924, 925 & 928 arriving
from points west will stop on Main between Pearl & Gold
at the Ancient Burying Ground.
Effective Monday, March 30
•Central Row South and Market Street will no longer
be served by CTtransit Express Routes 923 & 924.
Morning buses will now drop off on Main Street
between Pearl & Gold at the Ancient Burying Ground.
Afternoon buses will now depart from Travelers (on
Main Street at south end of block near Atheneum
Square)
•Pearl & Haynes will no longer be served by CTtransit
Express Routes 923 & 924 in the afternoon. Buses will
depart from Asylum & Trumbull at the XL Center
instead.
•Asylum Street at Bushnell Park (Union Station)
remains closed. CTtransit Express Routes 923 & 924
will not drop off at this location in the morning.
Afternoon buses will now depart from Asylum & High
Streets.
Effective Early to Mid April (Date T.B.A.)
•Central Row North will be temporarily closed for
construction. During this time the bus stop for all routes
at Central Row North will be relocated to the corner of
Pearl & Main at the former Bank of America Tower.
•Pearl & Ann will be closed. Due to construction, Ford
Street will be closed to westbound traffic. As a result,
the bus stop at Pearl & Ann for CTtransit Express
Routes 926, 927 and the Free Commuter Shuttle will be
temporarily relocated to Asylum & Trumbull at the XL
Center.
Effective Late April/Early May (Date T.B.A.)
•Main Street at Old State House will be closed for
construction. The bus stop for all routes on Main Street
at the Old State House will be closed for
construction.Customers will be accommodated by the
existing bus stops on Main Street at the Wadsworth
Atheneum or Capital Community College.
31 – Park Street-New Park Avenue
33 – Park Street-Park Road
Routes 31 & 33 will now connect with new CTfastrak
Routes 101, 102, 121 & 128 at Parkville Station, located
at the corner of Park & Francis Streets in Hartford.
Route 31 will also connect with new CTfastrak Routes
101, 102, 121 & 128 at Kane Street Station, next to the
Stop & Shop on New Park Avenue, and at Flatbush
Avenue Station, located at the corner of New Park &
Flatbush Avenues.
39 – New Britain Avenue
Route 39 will now connect with new CTfastrak Routes
101, 102, 121 & 128 at Elmwood Station, located at the
corner of New Britain & New Park Avenues in West
Hartford.
New CTfastrak Route 128 will supplement Route 39
along New Britain Avenue in West Hartford from
Elmwood Station (New Park Avenue) to Westfarms Mall.
41 – Hartford/New Britain via Newington Center
Route 41 will now operate locally (pick up and drop off
in both directions) in Hartford.
Route 41 will operate every 20 minutes during peak
hours, every 30 minutes on weekdays during midday and
Saturdays, and every hour at night and on Sundays.
Faster and more frequent service between downtown
Hartford & downtown New Britain will be provided by
the new CTfastrak Route 101 – Hartford/New Britain,
which will operate every 7-8 minutes during peak hours,
every 12 minutes on weekdays during midday and on
Saturdays, and every 20 minutes at night and on
Sundays.
66 – Farmington Avenue
The bus stop at the main entrance of John Dempsey
Hospital will re-opened to buses. As a result, the bus stop
at the Academic Entrance will be discontinued. Additional
service to UConn Health is now available on the new
CTfastrak Route 121 – MCC/Hartford/UConn Health
Center.
69 – Capitol Avenue
All trips on Route 69 will be extended to the Berlin
Turnpike (Price Chopper) and CTDOT in Newington.
Although Route 69 will no longer serve CCSU, customers
will be accommodated by the new CTfastrak
Route 140 – CCSU Shuttle. The CCSU Shuttle connects
with Route 69 at Newington Junction Station. Customers
traveling to CCSU from downtown Hartford, however,
will have a faster trip by riding CTfastrak Routes 101 or
102 to East Street Station to connect with Route 140.
New CTfastrak Route 128-Hartford/Westfarms/ New
Britain via Stanley Street will offer a one-seat ride from
downtown Hartford to CCSU with no need to change
buses en route.
Service on Route 69 will now operate later at night. The
last trip on Route 69 will now depart downtown Hartford
Monday through Saturday at 9:25PM; the last trip will
depart CTDOT Monday through Saturday at 9:52PM.
Route 69 will connect with new CTfastrak Routes 101,
102 & 121 at Newington Junction Station, located at the
corner of Willard Avenue and West Hill Street in
Newington. Route 69F will also connect with new
CTfastrak Routes 101, 102 & 121 at Cedar Street
Station.
83 – Silver Lane
New CTfastrak Route 121 will supplement Route 83
along Spencer Street and Silver Lane, between downtown
Hartford and MCC.

144 – Wethersfield/Westfarms via Newington
Center and Brittany Farms
101 – Hartford/New Britain
CTfastrak Route 144 operates between the Silas Deane
Highway & Jordan Lane in Wethersfield and Westfarms
Mall, with stops along Jordan Lane, Newington Center,
along Cedar Street, at Cedar Street Station, at CCSU,
along Stanley Street, through Brittany Farms to the mall.
CTfastrak Route 101 operates between downtown
Hartford and downtown New Britain, making stops at all
CTfastrak stations. Buses operate as frequently as every
7 minutes during rush hour and travel time is under 30
minutes.
102 – Hartford/New Britain/Bristol
CTfastrak Route 102 operates between downtown
Hartford and downtown New Britain, making limited
stops along Farmington Avenue in Hartford and at all
CTfastrak stations. From New Britain, Route 102
continues on semi-express to Plainville Center and
downtown Bristol via CT-72.
153 – Flatbush/Copaco via West Hartford Center
CTfastrak Route 153 operates between Flatbush Avenue
Station and Copaco Shopping Center, with stops along
Flatbush Avenue, Quaker Lane South, Park Road, South
Main Street, North Main Street and Cottage Grove Road.
Route 153 also serves West Hartford Center, Bishops
Corner, and the Cigna/MetLife campus.
161 – St. Francis Hospital/Hartford Hospital via
Capitol Avenue
121 – MCC/Hartford/UConn Health
CTfastrak Route 121 operates between MCC and
downtown Hartford via Spencer Street, Silver Lane, Main
Street and Connecticut Boulevard, making limited stops.
From downtown Hartford, Route 121 makes limited stops
along Capitol Avenue in Hartford, at CTfastrak stations
Sigourney Street through Cedar Street, then express to
UConn Health via CT-9 & I-84.
CTfastrak Route 161 runs between St. Francis Hospital
and Hartford Hospital, with stops along Asylum Street,
Woodland Street, Ashely Street, Sigourney Street, Capitol
Avenue, Washington Street, Jefferson Street and Retreat
Avenue. Route 161 connects with all CTfastrak routes at
Sigourney Street Station and also serves Aetna, Lincoln
Culinary, the State Capitol, Lafayette Square and
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
128 – Hartford/Westfarms/New Britain via
Stanley Street
923 – Bristol Express
924 – Southington-Cheshire Express
CTfastrak Route 128 operates between downtown
Hartford and Westfarms Mall, making stops at CTfastrak
stations Sigourney Street through Elmwood, and making
limited stops along New Britain Avenue in West Hartford.
From Westfarms, Route 128 continues to Downtown New
Britain Station via Stanley Street, making all local stops.
CTtransit Express Routes 923 & 924 will now offer more
reliable travel times operating on the new, traffic-free
CTfastrak guideway. A stop is also being added at
Downtown New Britain Station to serve commuters from
western suburbs traveling to work sites in communities
outside of downtown Hartford, including: New Britain,
Farmington, Berlin, Newington and West Hartford. Travel
on the Express Bus between New Britain Station and
Hartford is a Zone 2 Express fare ($2.70).
140 – CCSU Shuttle
CTfastrak Route 140 operates between Cedar Street
Station, East Street Station and the CCSU campus.
Alternate trips (Route 140F) also serve Fenn Road and
Newington Junction Station.
Routes 923 & 924 will exit the CTfastrak guideway at
Sigourney Street Station, making limited stops along
Farmington Avenue en route to downtown Hartford, then
continue on to Capitol Avenue. As a result, buses will no
longer stop at Central Row or Market Street (see bus
stop changes, above).
Off-peak weekday, night & weekend service to Bristol will
be provided by CTfastrak Route 102 (see above);
off-peak weekday, night & weekend service Southington
& Cheshire will be provided by the new CTtransit
Express Route 928 (see below).
Please note: CTtransit express Route 924 will no longer
serve the Cheshire/Route 70 Park & Ride (I-84 Exit 26).
Instead, the Cheshire/Route 70 Park & Ride will be served
by the new Routes 925 & 928 (see below).
925 – Waterbury Express
CTtransit Express Route 925 is a new route linking
Waterbury, New Britain & Hartford. Route 925 buses
make the following stops en route to downtown
Hartford:
•Waterbury Railroad Station (connection to Metro-North
Waterbury Branch)
•Field & Grand Streets at Waterbury City Hall
•Meadow Street at Waterbury Superior Court
•West Main Street at Waterbury Green (Exchange Place;
connection to CTtransit Waterbury local routes)
•East Main Street at UConn Waterbury
•South Elm Street at St. Mary’s Hospital
•Waterbury/Hamilton Avenue Park & Ride (I-84 Exit 23)
•Cheshire/Route 70 Park & Ride (I-84 Exit 26)
•Downtown New Britain Station
Route 925 will exit the CTfastrak guideway at
Sigourney Street Station, making limited stops along
Farmington Avenue en route to downtown Hartford, then
continue on to Capitol Avenue.
928 – Southington-Cheshire-Waterbury
Express
CTtransit Express Route 928 is a new route linking
Waterbury, Cheshire, Southington, New Britain &
Hartford. Route 928 buses make the same bus stops as
Routes 924 & 925. Service on Route 928 operates 7 days
a week from early morning until late evening.
FARES ON CTfastrak BUSES
All CTfastrak bus routes will operate free of charge from
Saturday, March 28 to Sunday, April 5, 2015.
Starting Monday, April 6, regular CTtransit
local fares will be in effect on Routes 101 through 161
($1.50 for a 2-hour pass; $3.00 for an all-day pass).
Routes 923, 924, 925 & 928 will charge regular
CTtransit express fares (ranging from $2.70 to $4.30
one-way, based on distance traveled). All CTtransit
tickets and passes are valid for use on CTfastrak.

Tome nota por favor: la Ruta Exprés 924 de CTtransit ya no
servirá el Park & Ride de Cheshire/Ruta 70 (I-84 Salida 26). En
cambio el Park & Ride de Cheshire/Ruta 70 será servida por las
nuevas Rutas 925 y 928 (ver abajo).
TARIFAS EN AUTOBUSES DE CTfastrak
Todas las rutas de autobús de CTfastrak operarán sin cargo
desde el sábado 28 de marzo hasta el domingo 5 de abril de
2015.
A partir de lunes 6 de abril, las tarifas locales normales de
CTtransit entrarán en vigencia en las Rutas 101 a 161 ($1.50
para un pase de 2 horas; $3.00 para un pase de todo el día). Las
Rutas 923, 924, 925 y 928 cobrarán tarifas exprés normales de
CTtransit (que van de $2.70 a $4.30 en una dirección, en base a
la distancia del viaje). Todos los boletos y pases de CTtransit son
válidos para ser usados en CTfastrak.

La Ruta Exprés 925 de CTtransit es una ruta nueva que
vincula Waterbury, New Britain y Hartford. Los autobuses de la
Ruta 925 hacen las siguientes paradas camino al centro de
Hartford:
•Waterbury Railroad Station (conexión al Ramal Metro-North
Waterbury)
•Field y Grand Streets en Waterbury City Hall
•Meadow Street en Waterbury Superior Court
•West Main Street en Waterbury Green (Exchange Place;
conexión a las rutas locales de CTtransit en Waterbury)
•East Main Street en UConn Waterbury
•South Elm Street en St. Mary’s Hospital
•Waterbury/Hamilton Avenue Park & Ride (I-84 Salida 23)
•Ruta 70/Cheshire Park & Ride (I-84 Salida 26)
•Estación del centro de New Britain
La Ruta 925 saldrá de la pista de CTfastrak en Sigourney Street
Station, haciendo paradas limitadas a lo largo de Farmington
Avenue camino al centro de Hartford, y luego continuará a
Capitol Avenue.
