A big thank you to our parish community for
your help throughout this year's Festival. The
Festival committee works diligently starting several
months ahead leading up to Oct. 18th. We will give a
report as soon as we can. The success of the festival
is in the hands of the community. So many folks
made the Festival a success. The sponsors, the
volunteers, the committee, the donors, everyone
contributed to a successful outcome. Congratulations
to the winners of the raffle items.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY — Oct 18 & 19
This year we are invited to reach out and help
build the Church in Mongolia, the world’s
youngest Catholic Church, as well as local churches
throughout the Missions, in the most remote areas
across our world. Through the work of these
churches, and their witness to Christ, the poor
receive practical help and experience God’s love and
mercy, His hope and peace. Please keep the Missions

All adults (18+) who minister to these
persons are required to:
1. Complete a Criminal Background Check Form
every 3 years.
Processing fee is $6. Forms are

2. Complete Safe Environment Training every 3 years.
The training is also offered through the Archdiocese

We held ou First Country Market at the
Annex on Saturday, September 13. Thank
you to all the volunteers, vendors and
parishioners that came out to the property

“Volunteer Service Ministry Spotlight”
Prison Correspondence
Ministry
Our Lady of Guadalupe Prison Correspondence
Ministry, established in 2006, ministers to over 500
incarcerated men throughout Texas and Oklahoma
and as far as Zambia in Central Africa.
This
outreach ministry, through cards and letters, shares
our faith and brings comfort, joy and encouragement
to prisoners, inspired by the words of our Lord Jesus
Christ: “Whatsoever you do to the least of my
brothers-that you do unto me.” Their annual Creative
Arts & Good Eats Fair is the main fundraiser for their
prisoner correspondence program.
A Special thanks to each member of our Prison
Correspondence Ministry for their service to Our
Lady of Guadalupe Church and our prisoner
outreach program.

ofreciendo cartas y postales comparte nuestra fe, trae
consolación y alivio, gozo, felicidad y ánimo a los
prisioneros inspirados por las palabras de Dios
Nuestro Señor que dice “Les aseguro que todo lo que
hicieron por uno de estos hermanos míos mas
humildes, por mi mismo lo hicieron”, Su Feria anual
de Artes Creativos y Buena Comida es su actividad
principal para recaudar fondos para este Ministerio

Este taller es presentado por la Oficina de Corresponsabilidad y
Desarrollo del Arquidiócesis de SA. Temas incluyen:
 ¿Qué es la hospitalidad y por qué es esencial para crecer?
 El papel que tiene la hospitalidad para atraer de nuesvo a aquellos que se han apartado de la fé
 Ejemplos de hospitalidad, lo que impacta y lo que no impacta
en la evangelización
 ¿Por qué es esencial una “Espiritualidad de Comunión” para
ofrecer la bienvenida en la parroquia y cómo crearla?
 Las estructuras principales que se necesitan para formar una
parroquia hospitalaria
 ¿Cómo se hace el ministerio en la parroquia más efectivo por
medio de la hospitalidad?
 Cuales herramientas ayudan para revitalizar la habilidad de una
parroquia para recibir y retener nuevos miembros
 El punto de vista de un miembro prospectivo

Tendremos nuestro horario regular de misas el Dia
de los Fieles Difuntos.
Por razon que esta
celebracion cae en domingo es obligacion asistir
