Los verbos reflexivos
Reflexive verbs have two parts – a verb & a reflexive pronoun.
1.) The verb is treated and used just like any other verb.
2.) The reflexive pronoun simply goes in front of the verb.
Take the verb “bañarse” for example.
“bañar” is the verb and “se” is the reflexive pronoun.
To use “bañarse” in a simple sentence, conjugate “bañar” to go with the person doing the
action (baño, bañas, baña, bañamos, bañáis, bañan)
Yo baño
Tú bañas
Él baña
Nosotros bañamos
Vosotros bañáis
Ellos bañan
Then, place the appropriate reflexive pronoun (me, te, se, nos, os, se) in front of the verb.
me baño te bañas se baña nos bañamos os bañáis se bañan
That’s all there is to it!
