PRAY ON VETERANS’ DAY
Wednesday is Veterans’ Day. Please pray for all past and present military men and women who have served our great nation. If you
are a veteran, please accept our parish’s sincere thanks for your service to our Country and the World. Please consider offering the
following prayer every day for our brothers and sisters who put themselves in harm’s way to protect us and our way of life.
Prayer for All Military Personnel
O God, kindly watch over those exposed to the dangers of military life.
Give them such strong faith that nothing may ever lead them to deny it or fear to practice it.
Fortify them by your grace against the contagion of bad example,
so that, preserved from vice and serving you faithfully,
they may be ready to meet death if it should come.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspire them with sorrow for sin
and grant them pardon. Mary, our Mother, be with them in battle,
and should they be called upon to make the supreme sacrifice,
obtain for them the grace to die in the love of your Divine Son.
Saint Joseph, pray for them.
Amen.

TITHING
September October 25-31, 2015
Same Week Last Year:
$16,449.00
$17,389.00
From the Pastor: November 11th, we honor our military who
give the first fruits of their lives to Our Lord, putting their very
lives at the service of our country and all of us. Their
generosity is complete. As we give our gifts to God each
week, we look at what they do and we are humbled and
inspired to greater generosity because of their sacrifices.
Words of Tithing from the Pews: Most of the things I have, I
have never asked for and God still gave them to me. I don’t
think He should have to ask me to share the blessings I would
never have received without His help.
Thank you for your sacrifice of Tithing

– PLEASE TELL US
Please keep all of our parishioners who are serving in the military,
especially Kemuel David, serving with the Marines and Frank
Mulvaney and Natalie Domenech, both currently serving with the
Navy, in your prayers. Please notify the Rectory Office, 973-3342090, if there are any parishioners currently serving our country in
the military.
LET’S GO NEXT SPRING TO
SPAIN, FRANCE & ITALY APRIL 11-21, 2016
Our parish is sponsoring a European trip to the exciting city of
Barcelona, Spain and then on to Lourdes, where Mary visited
with Saint Bernadette. We travel to Nice and visit Monte
Carlo from there. Leaving France, we go to Northern Italy to
Stresa on Lake Maggior the Italian/Swiss Lake district. After a
full day visiting islands at Lake Maggiore, we move onto
Milan for our last full day. The next morning we fly home
from Milan. Many places on this itinerary we have probably
never visited before.
Please call or stop at the Rectory for a beautiful trip brochure.
Please speak with the travel agency, Nuovo Tours at 973-8820021, if you wish.

ATTENTION FLOWERS LOVERS
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP?
Our Church is always beautifully decorated with plants and flowers.
Keeping the plants and flowers looking fresh is quite a chore. We
need two volunteers with “green thumbs” to water the plants twice a
week. You can alternate weeks if that would be better.
Preparing the Church for our special Holy Days and Holidays, we
need another team of volunteers to help out. This ministry is very
rewarding because a tastefully decorated Church invites us all to a
deeper sense of reverence and prayer. We want our Church to be a
beautiful sign of our love for Jesus who is present with us as we
celebrate the Liturgy.
Please pray and think about offering your time to this very special
ministry. If you think you can help, please call Sister Sylvia at 973334-2090 to learn more about this. Thank you and God bless you!
OUR DECEMBER CAR RAFFLE
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN
Our parish is raffling a beautiful 2015 Dodge Charger on
Sunday, December 13th after the 7:00 PM Mass. You see it
outside on the Church Plaza. There are only 1000 chances for
sale at $100 each. Tickets are available at all our weekend Masses
until December 13. Tickets are also on sale at the Rectory and at
the CCD office during the week from 9AM to 4PM.
We offer a strong “thank you” to you who have already bought a
raffle ticket. You are helping our parish in a really big way right
now.
This year (all since after July 1) we have needed to make major
unanticipated repairs in our Parish Center/School building (a
partial new roof and new heating system units) that have put a
big hole in our parish budget for this year. That’s the reason for
our raffle. Every dollar of the proceeds from our Car Raffle will
be important income to help the parish pay for these major
repairs without jeopardizing our financial responsibilities to the
religious education of our children and young people in All Saints
Academy and our parish CCD Youth Ministry program as well
as our financial obligation to our parish employees and all the
ministries which they serve. Your generous participation will
help enable our parish to fulfill all these responsibilities without
going into debt.
Please help us if you can. And, by the way, we hope you win the
car! It will be a great early Christmas present for someone and
that may be you.
THANKSGIVING FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION
NEXT WEEKEND – NOVEMBER 14/15
…It is in giving that we receive.
If we look back over the past year, our blessings have been many and
we are most grateful to a generous God from whom all these
blessings flow. There are many ways to make a return to the Lord for
His generosity. With Thanksgiving approaching, we invite you to
share with our needy sisters and brothers from your bounty. Due to
our economy, the number of families we assist has increased. The
shelves of our Food Pantry are quite empty. We invite you to share
some of your blessings next weekend by donating food, a turkey or a
monetary gift. Please put the monetary gift in an envelope marked
“Thanksgiving Donation” and place it in the regular collection basket
along with your regular Sunday envelope. Kindly bring turkeys to the
Rectory. PLEASE DO NOT leave them in the Narthex. Thank you!
As always, you have been most generous over the past few months
and we, and the Lord, are most grateful. May the blessings of our
generous God be poured on you, His generous people. We need
canned fruit, vegetables, stews, tuna, chicken, sweet potatoes,
cranberry sauce & hearty soups, coffee, tea, side dishes, juice, cereal,
pancake mix & syrup, pasta & spaghetti sauce, paper products,
peanut butter & jelly, gravy and stuffing mix.

BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL
Nazareth Village in Chester is our residence for retired
diocesan priests. It is a wonderful place where senior priests
live in community while also helping at local parishes. Your
generous support of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal helps support

priests who spent a lifetime helping parishioners grow in the
faith. Please make a pledge to the 2015 Bishop’s Annual
Appeal today!

servido a nuestra gran nación.
Hijo.
San José, ruega por ellos.
Amén.
