Dear parish family,
26 Sunday B
We welcome Father Francois Pellissier of the GLENMARY HOME MISSIONERS, who will speak at all the Masses this
weekend on behalf of the home mission work of Glenmary priests, brothers and coworkers. Father Pellissier, a native of
France, is fluent in French, English and Spanish and has used his language skills in a variety of ministries as a home missioner. He has served Glenmary missions in Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas ministering to those living in small, isolated villages. Father Francois currently serves as prison chaplain in Georgia. The second
collection this Sunday is our opportunity to support evangelization in the home missions. Let us be generous.
At the time of this writing the World Meetings of Families, graced by the presence of Pope Francis, has begun
and by the time you are reading this, the event is already over (bulletin is printed 5 days before Sunday). But the message of the Pope and the event itself is not over and must be lived on. Many things to be said about this topic for we
know how deeply important it is in our time when the family is increasingly redefined by secular culture with values contrary to the gospel and surely this little corner here has no space to cover substantively this issue.
At the outset however, The World Meetings of Families has brought generations together across the globe every
three years since for more than two decades. This year’s theme “Love is our mission: the family fully alive” serves as the
centerpiece of a six-day, multi-faith celebration of the family unit. Archbishop Chaput said that it “is a theme that resonates not just with Catholics, but all people of good will. It underlines the beauty and truth of family life. The love that we
cite in our theme is a love that we must ensure fills every home and all family members with a unique and invigorating
light and warmth.”
We need to strengthen our families through living our faith. We need to strengthen our parish family as well thru
fellowships. We have the opportunity. Our parish family Bazaar is already next Sunday! It’s our day of fellowship and to
have a family fun under the Fall Sun. Please invite all your family and friends to have wonderful time with us. You still
have a lot of time to sell the raffle tickets, remember it is the lifeblood of our Bazaar. We still have a lot of them. Who
knows you can be a winner! We spend a little money for family fun; give time and energy for parish bonding and fellowships then in the end our church benefits the proceeds to lessen our parish debt. The bottom line, everybody wins nobody loses. Let’s all work hard to make the Bazaar a great success and pray that the weather cooperates.
Blessings to all and have a good week!
Querida familia parroquial,
Fr. Tony
26 domingo B
Padre Tony

We would like to ask all of our Parish family to pray
for us in our mission to bring teens closer to Christ!
Please pray that it is the Holy Spirit that guides every
step we take this year. Pray that we never forget the
words of St. Paul “…for when I am weak, then I am
strong.” 2Cor 12:10 Pray that we rely fully on God in
His wisdom and mercy.
Please pray that God will call us, those individuals
whose gifts are most needed. Pray that by God’s
