PRE-CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
four sections, and for 139 manholes spread throughout the
interceptor, are currently under design. Construction activities
are anticipated to begin in mid-2015 and continue into 2016.
The Sub-Regional Operating Group (SROG) consists
of the cities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa,
and Tempe, all of which share the costs to collect and
treat wastewater. The partnership owns and operates the
91st Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant which treats
approximately 150 million gallons of effluent per day.
2015 - 2016 construction activities will
include rehabilitating 139 manhole
structures and 3,650 feet of sewer pipe
between 48th Street and 87th Avenue on
Southern Avenue and Broadway Road,
as shown on the map below.
In 2013, SROG assessed the condition of the Southern
Avenue sanitary sewer pipe that conveys wastewater from
the adjacent cities to the treatment plant and identified four
areas requiring rehabilitation. Construction plans for those

AVISO DE PRECONSTRUCCIÓN
El Grupo Subregional de Operaciones (SROG por sus siglas
en inglés) está formado por las ciudades de Phoenix, Scottsdale,
Glendale, Mesa y Tempe. Estas ciudades comparten los costos
de la recolección y el tratamiento de las aguas residuales. El
grupo posee y opera la planta de tratamiento de agua localizada
en la avenida 91 en la cual se tratan aproximadamente 150
millones de galones de agua al día.
están diseñando los planes de construcción para esas cuatro
secciones y para 139 pozos de acceso distribuidos en todo
el interceptor. Se estima que las actividades de construcción
comenzarán a mediados del año 2015 y continuarán hasta el
2016.
Las actividades de construcción en los años

estructuras de pozos de acceso y 3,650 pies de
tubería de alcantarillado, entre la calle 48 y la
