Prayer for Priests – Most gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you for our faithful priest whose spiritual fatherhood and
example of fidelity, self-sacrifice, and devotion is so vital to the faith of your people. May our spiritual fathers be guided by
the example of St. John Vianney. Give them valiant faith in the face of confusion and conflict, hope in the time of trouble
and sorrow, and steadfast love for you, for their families, and for all your people throughout the world. May the light of your
Truth shine through their lives and their good works, assist all spiritual fathers, through you Grace they may steadily grow
in holiness and in knowledge and understanding of your truth. May they generously impart this knowledge to those who
rely on them, through Christ our Lord. Amen

things? God won’t necessarily give you everything you want, but He will provide everything you need. Try this – use the
word “pray” instead of the word “worry” in the future.

Position d’entretien disponible - Une position d’entretien à plein temps est disponible dans la paroisse de Saint-Léon.
Les fonctions englobent toutes les tâches de nettoyage et d'entretien de tous les édifices de la paroisse, tout en aidant à
assurer la sécurité de ces édifices, le déneigement, l'aménagement du paysage, l'entretien de base et la sécurité de
fonctionnement de tous les équipements liés à l'emploi. Nous cherchons à remplir ce poste le plus tôt que possible. Tous

Monthly Meetings – February 2015
1 February – St. Leo’s Rosary Society will pray the Rosary at 8:30 am in Church and will meet in the Conference Room in McKenna
Hall immediately following the 9 am Mass
19 February – Preparation for Baptism Class will be held in McKenna Hall at 7 pm.
26 February – St. Leo’s Parish will meet in the Conference Room in McKenna Hall at 7 pm.
28 February – Food distribution to the needy by Team #3: Gloria Ramos-Wiggs, Annette Romano, Ghislaine Pierre, Wladimir Simon in
St. Joseph’s Hall from 9:30 am – 11:30 am. If you cannot attend on your assigned date, please arrange for a replacement from
your community so that all languages will be represented as needed.
Knights of Columbus – St. Leo’s Knights of Columbus, Pope John Paul II Council # 13991, meet on the 2nd Sunday
(February 11th) and the 4th Sunday (February 22nd) of the month at 6 pm in St. Joseph’s Hall.
Weekly Meetings
St. Leo Youth Group meets every Sunday at 6:00 pm in McKenna Hall
The League of Our Lady of Perpetual Help meets every 1st Thursday of the month at 7 pm in McKenna Hall. Devotion of the Most
Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ is held every third Friday of the month from 11 pm to 3 am. All are invited. Every Saturday:
Legion of Mary meets at 8:30 am in McKenna Hall after the 8 am Mass. Rosary for Life is prayed in the Conference Room in McKenna
Hall every 2nd, 3rd, 4th Saturday from 10 am – 12 noon. Devotion of One thousand (1,000) Hail Marys is prayed every 1st Saturday
of the month in the Church from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Friends of Jesus meet every Thursday from 7-9 pm in St. Joseph’s Hall. The
meetings begin with Adoration of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist and conclude with Bible studies.
Reporting of Sexual Abuse –The Archdiocese takes very seriously any and all allegations of sexual misconduct by
members of the clergy, Religious and lay staff of the Archdiocese. We encourage anyone with knowledge of an act of
sexual misconduct to inform us immediately so that we may take appropriate action to protect others and provide support
to victims of sexual abuse. Individuals who wish to report an allegation of sexual misconduct may do so by calling the
Archdiocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection at (201) 407-3256.
Custodian/Maintenance Position Available - A full-time custodial/maintenance position exists at St. Leo’s Parish. Duties
encompass all cleaning and maintenance tasks for all parish facilities, assisting in ensuring the security of all parish
facilities, snow removal, basic landscaping upkeep, and the safe operation of all job-related equipment. We are seeking to
fill the position as soon as possible. All interested and qualified candidates are to bring their letter of application and
resume to Msgr. Beaubrun Ardouin at rectory and call (973) 372-1272.
Year of Consecrated Life – It is in the light of this Year of Consecrated Life that Archbishop Myers cordially invites Msgr.
Beau and members of St. Leo Parish to the Mass for Consecrated Life, which will be celebrated in the Cathedral Basilica of
the Sacred Heart, Newark, on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 12 Noon. We are asking all members of St. Leo Parish to join us
in this celebration as your presence and that of the lay-faithful this year is an occasion to celebrate together the Year of
Consecrated Life and to pray in thanksgiving for the gift of Consecrated Life. This Eucharistic celebration also gives us an
opportunity to render deep gratitude to those in Consecrated Life who have served the parishes and institutions of the
Archdiocese for so many years.
