A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
The exchange between Jesus and Pilate in today’s Gospel is,
arguably, the most important exchange in all of literature.
Pilate asks Jesus: “What have you done?” Jesus replies that he
testifies to the truth. In the second reading we are reminded of
the essence of that truth: Christ, ruler of all, loves us, liberates
us from the bonds of sin, makes us a new kingdom. As we
approach the Advent season, this week would be a good time
to reflect on the question: What have we done in our daily
lives, in our actions, words, private prayer, and in our
interaction with others, to testify that Jesus is Lord?

Today as we celebrate Christ the King, may we open the door of our heart so wide that we may listen to the
voice of Jesus calling us to help build his kingdom here on earth.
During the month of October, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring
God’s love and mercy to 144 families, providing 2,699 of food, a value of $4562, and paid $31,165 if direct
financial assistance for utility, rent and other miscellaneous bills. Thank you and God bless you for your

Marriage - Why God's Design
What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder” (Mk 10:9). This is an exhortation to believers
to overcome every form of individualism and legalism which conceals a narrow self-centeredness and a fear of
accepting the true meaning of the couple and of human sexuality in God’s plan. For God, marriage is not some
adolescent utopia, but a dream without which his creatures will be doomed to solitude! Indeed, being afraid to
accept this plan paralyzes the human heart.

Thanksgiving Dinner
Annie’s Way
ANNIE was the warm and generous mother of one of our former members here at Saint William. On Thanksgiving she would set out three
dishes, sometimes more. When she had completed preparing the meal
she would fix and wrap the three plates and have a family member deliver them to three people who had no family. When they returned
home, everyone would then give thanks for their blessings and enjoy
their meal. Though Annie has been gone for many years, her family
continues the beautiful and warm tradition that she began.
Saint William will host a meal at Saint William Parish
Activity Center located at 620 Round Rock West Dr,
Round Rock TX 78681 on Thanksgiving Day from
noon – 2:00 PM for anyone in our area who is in

All are invited to bring a donation of nonperishable food items for our brothers and sisters who are
most in need. Donations that are requested include canned fruits and vegetables, dry grains including
rice and beans, cereal and more. Your donations can be placed in the collection boxes that you will
find at the entrance of the church. All donations will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at
Saint William.
