END OF BOILER COLLECTION
Thanks to all who contributed to the Special Second
Collection for our new Church boiler. We began on
Sunday, June 1st and ended last Sunday, October 5th.
Over those four months,$17,179.50 was collected. In
addition, three individuals donated $1,000 each, and
two others donated $500 each. The total given,
therefore, equals $21,179.50.
While the cost of the boiler is about $60,000, we have
withdrawn $38,722.19 from our “Repair and Renovation” Fund maintained with the Diocese (leaving the
balance at “0”) to make up the difference.
Thank you again for your wonderful generosity.
CHRISTIANS RELIEF
Thank you for all who contributed toward the $1,541.
donated on September 28th to help relieve the suffering
of the many Christians in Iraq, Syria and Gaza. The
money has been sent to Catholic Relief Services
through the Diocese of Brooklyn.
ENGLISH BIBLE STUDY
A weekly Bible Study in English continues on
Wednesday, October 15th at 8:40 am (after the 8:00 am
Mass) in the Parish Center (rectory basement). No fee,
no firm commitment - come when you can. Msgr.
Ferrari welcomes all who wish to learn more about the
“Greatest Book Ever Written.”
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
Next weekend our parish will celebrate World Mission
Sunday. This year we are invited to reach out and help
build the Church in Mongolia, the world’s youngest
Catholic Church, as well as local churches throughout
the Missions, in the most remote areas across our
w
o
r
l
d
.
Through the work of these churches, and their witness
to Christ, the poor receive practical help and experience
God’s love and mercy, His hope and peace. Please
keep the Missions in your daily prayers. Please come
prepared next weekend to give generously in the
collection for the Society for the Propagation

OCTOBER VOCATION MONTH IN
ST. TERESA’S
During the Month of October, we join our Diocese in
its effort to foster vocations to the priesthood and the
consecrated life. The Angelus is prayed before our
daily masses here in St. Teresa’s for the whole month.
If you cannot make it to Church for the week-day 8 am
mass, we ask that you join us in prayer wherever you
are.
OCTOBER PARISH MISSION
Franciscan Father Johnpaul Cafiero OFM and Dominican Father Brian Walker, OP will preach a parish
mission “To Praise, To Bless, To Preach” Sunday,
October 19th thru Tuesday, October 21st here at St.
Teresa’s, from 7 to 8:30 pm each evening. The mission
promises to be an uplifting and spiritually rewarding
experience for all our parishioners. Invite your friends
and neighbors to join us! (Fathers Brian and Johnpaul
drew record crowds to St. Teresa’s last October with
their message of God’s peace and love.)
ALL SOULS
We will celebrate a Novena (9) Masses for all our faithful departed loved ones, beginning Sunday, November
2nd, “All Souls Day.” Special “All Souls Day”

CELEBRATING THE RITE OF THE BLESSING
OF THE CHILD IN THE WOMB
October 16th is the Feast of St. Gerard Majella, Patron
Saint of Expectant Parents. Join us in celebrating and
praying for mothers, fathers, and families, and for children in the womb. Next Sunday, October 19, all
Masses will include a special blessing for unborn children and their expectant parents. We will also pray for
couples who are hoping for the gift of a child and for
couples who have suffered the loss of a child.

Gracias a todos los que contribuyeron a la segunda colecta especial para nuestra nueva boila para la iglesia.
Comenzamos el domingo, 1 de junio y finalizó el pasado domingo, 5 de octubre. Durante esos cuatro meses,

DOMINGO MUNDIAL DE LAS MISIONES
El próximo fin de semana nuestra parroquia celebra el
Domingo Mundial de las Misiones. Este año se nos
invita a extender nuestras manos y ayudar a construir la
Iglesia en Mongolia, la iglesia católica mas joven del
mundo, como también a iglesias locales en las zonas
mas remotas de nuestro planeta. Mediante el trabajo de
estas iglesias y su testimonio de Cristo, los pobres reciben ayuda practica y experimentan el amor y la misericordia de Dios, su esperanza y su paz. Por favor. Rece diariamente por las Misiones y venga preparado el
próximo fin de semana para dar generosamente en la
colecta para la Sociedad para la Propagación de la Fe.

LOS TALLERES DE ORACION Y VIDA
DE PADRE IGNACIO LARRAÑAGA
Invita a esta comunidad de Santa Teresa a vivir un taller de
oración y vida. Comenzaron el día lunes, 8 de septiembre, 7
– 9 pm (por 15 semanas) en el centro parroquial. Solo para
adultos.
Las Talleres de oración y vida son una nueva evangelización
y ofrecen la oportunidad de experimentar la vida con Dios
mas íntimamente. De una manera variada en la que se
aprende diferentes modos de orar y de meditar la palabra de
Dios la Biblia. Con el uso de la palabra diariamente. Los
Talleristas van transformándose en amigos y discípulos de
Jesús. En el Taller de oración aprendemos a ser pacientes,
amorosos, y sensibles como Jesús. Además prometen ser
una vibrante fuente de Vocaciones Apostólicas.
Aprendemos a ser mejores servidores en nuestras parroquias,
mejores Catequistas, y servimos con mas humildad. En fin
nuestras vidas se transforman y nuestras hogares y lugares de

ESTUDIO BIBLICO LOS SABADOS
A los padres que traen a sus hijos al catecismo ya no
tienen que regresar a sus hogares y volver a recogerlos
sino le brindamos una oportunidad de acrecentar su Fe
aprendiendo mas acerca de la palabra de Dios
compartiendo una experiencia única en el Señor Jesús y
aprendiendo con la Biblia, con el Diacono Martin. Todos
los sábados, en el centro parroquial desde las 11:30 am
hasta la 1:00 pm.

The Mass book for 2015 will open this Thursday,
October 16th. The Rectory will be open for Masses

CELEBRACION DEL RITO DE LA BENDICION
DEL NINO EN EL VIENTRE
El 16 de octubre es la fiesta de San Gerardo Majella,
patrón de los padres expectantes. Únase a nosotros
para celebrar y rezar por las madres, padres y familias,
así como por los niños en el vientre materno. El domingo, 19 octubre, todas las misas incluirá una bendición especial para los niños no nacidos y sus padres
expectantes. También vamos a rezar por las parejas
que están esperando el regalo de un hijo y para las parejas que han sufrido la perdida de uno.
