The parish community’s enthusiastic support of the Advent Giving Tree provided gifts to

needy children in the parish, as well as warm clothing, sleeping bags, and personal hygiene
items for our homeless community. The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Corpus Christi
thanks the parish community for

fortunate brothers and sisters.

The Star of Mercy
(Mt 2:1-12)
The brightest star is a knowing star,
present and light years away.
It travels the blue-backed sky
moving herds of peoples
and herds of stray;
it moves wise souls to follow
with precious gifts in tow,
makes loners leave their havens,
the rich, their comfort zones.
It precedes the heads of state
and stuns their minds with fear.
It fills the poor with hope
and makes their waiting clear.
This brightest star is mercy
for it takes us to the place
we’ve wanted for all ages
but couldn’t entertain:
The tiny cave that holds the Life
we never would’ve found
without the sign that shocked the night
and bent us to the ground.

To all our Faith Formation Students and their families,
we would like to wish a Very Merry Christmas and a
Wonderful Year of Mercy.
Classes for First Communion will start Monday January 4th and Saturday January 8th for Spanish. RCIA
classes will start January 5th and Confirmation classes
will start January 10th, 2016.
