2015 Army Ten-Miler Official T-Shirt Design Contest
The Army Ten-Miler (“ATM”) T- shirt design contest is back! Winning design will receive a $1,000 Visa Gift
Card and become the official design for 35,000 runner/volunteer shirts!!
Design contest runs from Feb. 15 to Apr. 15, 2015. All designs must be submitted no later than Apr. 15
(5pm Eastern Time). We are looking for an original design that brands the Army Ten-Miler and conveys the
spirit of the race. Complete info below.

Contest is open to all U.S. residents age 18 and older. Employees of the ATM office and their
immediate families are not eligible to enter.
No purchase is necessary.
Up to two (2) designs allowed per individual.
Design contest runs from 15-Feb to 15-Apr, 2015. All designs must be submitted no later than Apr.
15 (5pm EST).
Army Ten-Miler reserves the right to cancel this contest at any time.

Entries not complying with the contest rules are subject to disqualification without prior warning.
Awards
First Prize - $1,000 Visa Gift Card
• Winning design becomes the official design for 35,000 runner/volunteer shirts.
• Short feature story included in the ATM Official Race Program
Second Prize - $500 Visa Gift Card
Third Prize - $250 Visa Gift Card
The top three winners will be announced on the ATM website, www.armytenmiler.com and on the ATM
Facebook page.
Note: The winning, second, and third place designs become sole property of the Army Ten-Miler. ATM has
the right to make minor changes to the winning design before printing or to request the artist do so.
Design Theme & Rules
The design must include:
• Official ATM logo in full unaltered form
• Washington, DC (city where race is conducted)
• Day, month, and year of race in any format
• Running and Army theme(s)
Overall, the design should capture the spirit of sport (running) and the spirit of the Army. The design can
include a Washington, DC Monument or Memorial or a patriotic icon such as the flag or an eagle. Finally,
the design must reproduce well on a white, waffle texture polyester t-shirt.
Judging
All designs will be reviewed by an ATM blue ribbon panel. The panel, consisting of military and civilians, will
select the top five (5) designs to be posted on the Army Ten-Miler website, www.armytenmiler.com for
runner voting .
From May 5 to May 21 (5pm EST), registered runners will be allowed to vote for their favorite design. The
design with the most votes win. Only one vote per runner. Any design associated with improper voting
will be disqualified.

All designs must be completely original artwork. We encourage you to use your
own perspective.
No clip art or stock photos. No work copied from copyrighted or published materials is permitted.
All designs must be created and submitted in a vector based program such as Illustrator, etc.
Submit as a vector image compatible with Adobe Creative Suite CS6 or lower (windows format). No
other forms will be accepted.
Design limited to five (5) spot colors. Gradients are fine, as long as they don’t fade or mesh into
another color. Please DO NOT import raster images into your vector document.
Convert all fonts to curves.
Design must reproduce well on a white, waffle texture polyester t-shirt.
Design size should be equal or less than 10” x 10”.
Design is for the front of the shirt only.
The logo colors are Pantone 123 (gold) and black. You may use an additional 3 colors in your design.
The design must be submitted in a print ready format

subject line. If your file is too large, send an email and we will make other arrangements.
Make sure to include your name, email address, city, state and phone number in the email. Do not put this
information on the design.
