Women's Shelter Visit
The ladies wing is organizing a visit to the Women's shelter in Brampton
this Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Many activities are planned for the residents including face painting for kids and
other fun filled activities. If you are interested in participating please register at
the information desk.
13th Annual Walk for Values Kick-Off Meeting
All devotees including office bearers and youth leaders are cordially invited to
attend this year’s Walk for Values Kick-Off meeting to be held this Saturday,
January 31, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Scarborough Civic Centre.
The objective of this meeting is to review/share logistics for the 13th annual Walk
for Values, focus, inspire, motivate and take the WALK from one to many.

Tutoring & Mentoring Service
The Youth Group is happy to announce re-launch of the H.O.M.E program.
"H.O.M.E. (Helping Others Meet Excellence) is a tutoring and mentoring service
provided by the youth and open to all SSE students. Tutoring sessions will be
held on Friday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, starting Friday, February 6,
2015.
Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this FREE tutoring service and bring
their kids for help with homework and other projects.
Please fill out the online form with your contact info, student information, and
tentative availability so that we can match and schedule tutor accordingly. Please

Preference is for parents to register online but the forms are available at the
information desk also.
Maha Shivaratri Celebtrations
The holy night of Maha Shivaratri will be observed on Tuesday, February 17,
2015 from 6:00 pm till Wednesday 6:00 am with chantings and continuous
Bhajans throughout the night. All devotees with their family members shall have
an opportunity to perform the Shiva Lingam Abhishekam (sacred bathing of Shiva
Lingham).
Devotees along with their family members and friends are cordially invited to join
the all night prayers and reap the benefits of this most auspicious night.

Emergency Warm Clothing Drive
Our Centre is undertaking an Emergency Warm Clothing drive in light of recent
deaths of two homeless brothers who died outside in the frigid temperatures.
We are appealing to devotees to donate new or gently used warm winter clothing
to help protect vulnerable members of our community from the cold, wet winter.
The most needed items are:

Pre-World Conference
The Tenth World Conference will be held at Prasanthi Nilayam, in November
2015, during the 90th Birthday celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The theme of
the conference is:
“Love is the Source; Love is the Path; Love is the Goal”.
In preparation for this conference, Pre-World Conferences will be held in every
Zone, commencing in January 2015. In our zone (Zone 1), the Pre-World
conference will be held in Orlando, Florida from Friday, April 17, 2015 to
Sunday, April 19, 2015.
