JIM AND SANDI MATHIS have a new grandson. Mathis Fletcher
Humphreys was born Sunday, February 1, 2015, at 7:49 p.m. at
Willamette Falls Hospital. He weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was
19 3/4 inches tall. Proud parents: Jackie and Sean Humphreys.
THIS LIFE IS A TEST. Now is when we make choices that establish our character (the only thing we can take to heaven). Now
is when we are to develop trust in God, so we can be trusted
with His gift of eternal life. We need to trust Him by faithfully
returning His tithe, by giving generous offerings to Local
Church Budget and the world-wide gospel work; and by using
our God-given time and talents in His service.
THE FELLOWSHIP HALL KITCHEN will soon be finished, that
is, if cash donations continue. If you would like to donate a
specific item, it is very important that you check with the Kitchen Committee first, headed by Connie Durbin 503-358-4388.
THE FAMILY LIFE SABBATH SCHOOL CLASS is inviting the
younger adults of our church to join them in a new study called
“Coming to ’Really’ Know God.” Each lesson includes a Devotional, a DVD presentation, study questions and discussion on
how to truly understand God and grow closer to Him. These
lessons are filled with insight, instruction and encouragement
for a happy and meaningful Christian life. Great help for those
with kids. This class meets in the room behind the piano.
COMMUNITY SERVICES needs your help with food for those in
need in our community—dry cereal and peanut butter.

THIS IS TO NOTIFY the constituency of Portland Adventist
Academy that a Constituency Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday
February 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Academy.
