MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS  Grade 12 or Senior Certificate  Diploma/Degree in General Nursing & Midwifery  Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse & Midwifery KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:  Knowledge of public service Acts and Regulations.  Sound management, negotiation, interpersonal and problem solving skills.  Good verbal and communication skills  Sound knowledge of nursing management of clients  Knowledge of Labour Relations and Disciplinary procedures.  Basic financial management skills. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS  Assist with implementation of vision, mission, and objectives of the clinic.  Provide outreach services and form part of the Family Health teams.  Provide effective management and professional leadership by ensuring that the clinic is organized to provide quality patient/ client care  Render comprehensive PHC service, following policies, guidelines, etc.  Evaluate patients care programs from time to time and make proposals for the improvement based on gaps identified.  Collect and interpret clinic data and identify indicators for improvement.  Ensure optimal and efficient utilization of all resources at the clinic.  Maintain client satisfaction with the improved service delivery by upholding the principles of Batho Pele and standards set by the accreditation bodies.  Provide a safety and therapeutic environment that allows for the project of safety patient care as lay down by the Nursing act, OHS and all other applicable prescripts.  Develop a system/mechanism to update staff with current changes in nursing issues.  Assist the implementation of National Core Standards.
