1. Could the students who were recently given media consent forms to be signed please bring to the office ASAP or your
photo will not be in the yearbook.
2. Grads! Today is the deadline to submit your yearbook comment.
3. A reminder to Grads. If you have a working copy of your resume, cover/thank you letter, please bring it with you to your
GT session this week.
4. GRADE 8 Basketball girls: game today vs Vanier (you leave your classroom at 3:00 not before!)
5. Congratulations to Claudie DeMuylder who won gold in her weight division in the Miri Piri Wrestling tournament in
Abbotsford on the weekend!

7. The next Comox Valley Blood Donor Clinic will take place February 3-5th at the Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay.
This is the first clinic that counts toward the 2015 Comox Valley Secondary School Challenge. Staff, students, friends
and family are invited to donate blood on behalf of Isfeld Secondary School. The winning school will receive $150 at the
end of the challenge. Member registration forms are available on the school website or in the Work Experience Office.
Blood donors must indicate their preferred school in a sign-in binder at the blood clinic. Help support your school by
donating blood. It’s in you to give. Call 1-888-2-DONATE (1-888-236-6283).
An unclaimed ring and necklace were left in the PE Office before Christmas. Please go to the office to identify.
A REMINDER that the library at lunch is for students working on school work or reading.

A reminder to all students working in the ILC next semester that you should be registering for your courses NOW. See
Mrs. Corman in Room 400 for help. Don’t forget to put Isfeld ILC in the comment box.
5. Girls Rugby starting in Semester 2! Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00. New players very welcome.

1. There is a volunteer opportunity for a student photography/videographer for the VI Riders Snowboard Club. Any
interested students, please come to the Career Centre.
2. Too Good to Be Threw Thrift Shop in Courtenay is looking for volunteers to help out with sorting, pricing, arranging,
clean up and other duties as required. Please contact the Work Experience Office for more information and to pick up an
application form.

1. Grade 12 students: The application for the 2015/2016 Vancouver Island University Entrance Scholarships & Awards is
now available on this website at: . Interested students
must complete the application on-line, print, sign and submit directly to VIU located in Building 200, Room 205 (VIU Nanaimo Campus) by the March 13, 2015 deadline.
2. The Grad Fashion Show DVDs have arrived! Please come to the office to pick up.
3. Grad photo retakes will take place March 11 in the Multipurpose Room. Go online to to book
your appointment now.
4. Grade 12 students going to UVIC – see Ms. Gauthier for an appointment with the UVIC advisor.
5. Attention Grads! An updated copy of the Grad Transitions spreadsheet is now posted in Student Services. All items are
due February 6 . Stop by the Career Centre for more info. Those needing help to finish, we will see you next week at a
GT Workshop.
6. Grad comment deadline extended to February 2. You’ve had 5 years to think of it, now submit it to by Feb 2. Keep it clean, positive and not too long.
