ABOUT PWS
Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) is a Federally-licensed firearms manufacturer located in Boise, Idaho
and recognized for its popular MK1 and MK2 series long-stroke piston system AR platform rifles. In 2005,
PWS found its beginnings as a garage business with the intention of enhancing the accuracy of the
AK47. The subsequent success of the JTAC 47 muzzle device prompted the move into the much larger
AR market. Inspired by its AK47 roots, PWS soon produced its first long-stroke piston AR platform rifle,
and has since become the largest firearm manufacturer in Idaho and much of the Northwest. Today,
PWS provides LE, military, and private consumers one of the most versatile and reliable rifles available
on the market today.
Strength Through Evolution is our slogan and we’ve taken it to heart, developing rifles and firearm
accessories to enhance various shooting platforms. Our constant innovations allow shooters to improve
their existing rifles or builds: both piston and direct-impingement.

THE PWS LONG-STROKE PISTON SYSTEM.
A significant improvement over standard AR15 direct impingement systems, the PWS long-stroke piston system greatly reduces fouling in the action
of the weapon, making it as reliable as the AK47 it was designed after.
1 PWS adjustable gas blocks have 4
gas settings allowing the shooter to
optimize extraction based on the
ammunition used, or if the firearm is
suppressed. A fifth position allows for
removal and cleaning of the gas block.
2 The angled position of the gas
block causes gas to move forward,
eliminating carbon buildup within
the gas block.
3 PWS MK1 and MK2 rifles feature a
long-stroke piston system. This results
in cleaner operation by keeping
carbon out of the receiver. PWS piston
heads detach, simplifying the cleaning
process and allowing the user to swap
out charging handles.
4 A lightweight, free-float handguard
features the KeyMod™ interface,
multiple QD sling swivel attachments,
and a full-length Picatinny top rail.
5 Using chromoly barrel blanks, PWS barrels
are Isonite QPQ®-treated for hardness and
corrosion resistance. Turned, chambered,
and profiled in-house, PWS barrels
feature a 1:8 twist in .223 Wylde or 300 BLK
chambers (MK1), and a 1:10 twist in .308
Match chambers (MK2). Barrel profiles
are designed to reduce weight without
decreasing accuracy.

for durability and reduced friction.
Unlike short-stroke piston systems,
the operating rod is attached to the
carrier with a large bearing surface,
meaning less parts to wear, break
down, and replace.

Every feature is designed to give the shooter an enjoyable experience through reduced recoil and system efficiency. By utilizing the long-stroke,
one-piece design, the PWS piston system creates a purely gas-to-metal operation, rather than metal-on-metal contact seen in other short-stroke
piston designs.

.223 Wylde Short Barreled Rifles
The MK107 “Diablo” was the first PWS long-stroke
piston rifle created by PWS. By diverging from typical
rifle evolutions and developing the most compact
system first, we’ve ensured system reliability
in even our shortest offerings. The MK107 was
designed specifically for CQB requirements and as
a replacement option for MP5-style weapons. The
MK110 came shortly after and sports a barrel typically
associated with suppressor manufacturers’ minimum
recommended barrel length. The MK112 is the longest
short-barreled rifle offered by PWS and a favorite of the
law enforcement community.

The staple of the PWS program, MK1 long rifles are
used extensively by recreational, competitive, law
enforcement, and military persons alike. Chambered
in .223 Wylde, non-NFA regulated rifles are offered in
14.5-inch, 16-inch, and 18-inch barrel lengths. Due to
NFA regulations, PWS MK114 rifle muzzle devices are
permanently pinned to ensure an overall length of 16
inches. A favorite among customers, the PWS MK116
is the shortest non-NFA MK1 rifle with a removable
muzzle device. Our DMR offering, the MK118, is the
longest MK1 rifle available and is designed for long
distance engagements.

Flash Suppressing Compensators
A PWS signature product, the FSC muzzle device keeps
flash suppression out of the line of sight while stabilizing
the muzzle. The unique port design of the FSC Series yields
muzzle control that meets or exceeds the performance of the
best muzzle brakes on the market without the teeth-rattling
overpressure indicative of other brakes and compensators.
Designed for tactical and competitive use, the FSC aids the
shooter in faster follow-up shots and accuracy. The FSC556 is

Flash Suppressors
The Triad muzzle device series features a revolutionary design that offers true flash suppression while reducing muzzle rise.
Its unique port design redirects gases to offset muzzle rise and keep flash at a minimum, while the shape of the tines prevent
the “pinging” associated with other flash suppressors. The Triad ships standard on all PWS short-barreled offerings because
of its ability to reduce an SBR’s pronounced flash and muzzle climb. A favorite in the LE communities, the Triad allows for
close quarters discharge without disrupting people to either side of the shooter.
Note: the Triad is classified as a flash suppressor under BATFE guidelines and should be used in accordance with each state’s

CQB SERIES
Close Quarters Battle
The original compensator of its design, the CQB series was
first developed as part of the MK107 rifle. Created specifically
for short-barreled rifles, its design effectively limits the
concussion felt by the shooter or those around the shooter.
This close quarters muzzle device provides the utmost in
muzzle control while obscuring flash and sending all blast
forward.
The CQB features a 2-piece design with a removable end cap
for ease of cleaning.

Muzzle Devices
Outside of the FSC, Triad, and CQB offerings, PWS offers two special purpose muzzle devices designed to be used on various
platforms.
The Precision Rifle Compensator (PRC) was designed to reduce the maximum amount of felt recoil of higher calibers, while
allowing the shooter to maintain an accurate sight picture of the intended target. Wider at the base, the PRC minimizes
ground disruption when firing prone.
The JTAC 47 is the original PWS compensator. Compatible with the AK47, the JTAC dramatically reduces felt recoil without a
significant increase in blast noise directed toward the shooter or individuals next to the shooter. Its effective muzzle control
increases accuracy from the moment it is installed.

EBT
Enhanced Buffer Tubes
The PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube is the first major upgrade to the buffer tube in years. The one-piece construction eliminates the
castle nut and ensures correct indexing while maintaining strength and durability in a lightweight package. Using an end plate
for proper alignment, the buffer tube is secured by three indexing screws that attach lineally from the rear. Two QD sling swivel
attachments are machined directly into the EBT. A lip extends into the receiver to support the carrier in battery. External fluting
and extra large drainage holes allow debris and water to clear.
The PWS Enhanced Pistol Buffer Tube is designed for AR15-based pistols. Like the EBT, the pistol version is billet-machined from
6061 aluminum and retains all features of the original except the flutes and drainage holes. A foam wrap provides positive grip,
but can be removed if using the pistol EBT with a stabilizing arm brace.

Adapted from the MK1 series BCG, the PWS DI Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is machined from tool steel and Isonite
QPQ™-treated for durability. We increased the carrier mass to extend dwell time and delay unlock. This increased mass
reduces the BCG chamber pressure for easier extraction. Gaps and channels between skid pads allow for fewer points of
contact, less friction, and keep debris from interfering with function. Each BCG comes with a PWS Bolt, cam pin, firing pin

TUNGSTEN BUFFERS
H2, H3 & H4 Weight
PWS manufactures its own tungsten H2, H3, and H4 buffer
weights. Reduced contact points allow debris to fall into
channels, while the Nickel-Teflon® coating keeps carbon
from sticking. The PWS logo is machined directly into the
4140 steel. H2 buffer weights are recommended for semiautomatic unsuppressed fire. H3 weights can be used for fullauto fire and H4 weights can be helpful when suppressing
your firearm.

offerings, our DI barrels will bring an integral
part of PWS accuracy to any build. The
highest quality chromoly barrel blanks are
turned, chambered, and profiled in-house
by our expert machinists and then Isonite
QPQ™-treated for hardness and corrosion
resistance. These button-rifled barrels feature
a 1:8 twist to accommodate 55gr through 75gr
.223 bullets, and 110gr through 220gr 300
BLK bullets with a high degree of accuracy.
Barrels chambered in .223 Wylde allow for
accurate shooting with both 5.56 NATO and
.223 Remington cartridges. The barrel’s heavy
profile was engineered to give you reduced
weight without decreasing accuracy.

The PWS SRX is a quad-railed aftermarket extension for the FNH® SCAR® series rifles. Weighing only 7.9 oz, the SRX allows key
accessories to be mounted to an additional 5 inches of Picatinny rail space. The top rail is 2.7 inches long and allows flashlights
and other accessories to be mounted in the 12 o’clock position without interfering with your sights or optics. For convenience,
two QD sling swivel points are machined into the sides of the rail for QD sling use.
