Objectives/Goals: Please remember to have your Objectives/Goals for your ELA, Math and ELD written on the board, and
are clearly communicated to your students. Please discuss/revisit them throughout the day with your students.
Caught Being Good: Tickets are available in the main office. Caught Being Good box is in the main office for you to return
the tickets. Thank you for encouraging our students’ good behavior.
Math: Please include Number Talk/Number Strings for 10-15 minutes daily to build math foundational skills, and include
Inquiry Lesson (Problem of the Week) at least once a week for students to explore and apply their mathematical content
standards and math practices in a collaborative setting.
Room Environment/Bulletin Boards: The classroom environment should be child-centered, neat, clean, organized, and
physically arranged to promote cooperative learning and inquiry. The environment should reflect the culture and learning
styles of all the students. There should be clear expectations of lesson objectives and evidence of the standards being taught.
Fire regulations/OEHS standards should be maintained; keep tops of cupboards, closets, inside closet floors and emergency
exits clear. Keep student desks and teacher desks orderly on top and inside. If you need support in removing large/heavy
items, please let us know. Thank you for your support.
LAS LINKS: Deadline for correcting has been extended to Friday, 2/20. Teachers can begin scoring in the computer lab
during the computer time.
Recess/Lunch: For the safety of your students, please anticipate the bell and pick-up your students on time. Thank you.
Dismissal: Please bring your students to the front yard (Harvard) for dismissal for their safety.
PE: Please remember that a minimum of 100 minutes of PE a week is required.
Flu Prevention: Please encourage your students to wash their hands/use alcohol wipes before eating, and cough or
sneeze into their sleeves, not their hands.
Parent/Community Center: Parent volunteers are working hard to assist you. Please send your projects to the parent center
every Tuesday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. in the gray/brown tub with
