DISCLAIMER:
USA Swimming, Inc., NM Swimming, Inc., Duke City Aquatics, Inc., City of Albuquerque
and all meet officials shall be held free from liabilities or claims for damages arising by
reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this meet.
FACILITY:
West Mesa Aquatic Center, Albuquerque, NM. There are two (2) separate male
& female locker rooms with rest room facilities. The venue is handicap
accessible. The pool is an indoor, 8 lanes, 25 yard pool with a Colorado
Timing/Starting system. There will be two (2) lanes available for warm-up and
cool down during the meet. During this meet, all other areas of the facility will
be closed to use, including the leisure pool. The competition course has not been
certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).
FORMAT:
1) All events will be swum as timed finals (TF).
2) Short course yards with No time standards.
3) Open to 2015 registered USA Swimming athletes.
4) All 50 yard events will be swum according to gender. All other events will be
swum mixed gender.
DIRECTIONS:
Heading west on I-40, exit to south Coors Blvd. Travel south on Coors Rd to Fortuna Rd.
Turn west (right) on Fortuna Rd, drive past West Mesa HS. Pool will be on the north
side. Parking is available on the north & southwest side of the facility. Please use the
northwest entrance to enter the facility.

All competitors must be 2015 USA Swimming registered athletes.
“Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach,
must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a
racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the
swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. “
Swimmers are limited to three (3) individual events.
The meet will be limited to 300 athletes. Teams over the limit will not be split.
COACHES:
All coaches must be 2015 USA Swimming registered with current safety certifications.
Coaches will be asked to display their current USA Swimming card.

ENTRY FEES:
$4.00 per Individual event, plus Pool Use fees $7.00 per swimmer and the NMS
surcharge of $4.00 per swimmer.
DECK ENTRIES: A fee of $10.00 per event will be charged for all deck-entered athletes. Deck entries will
only be accepted for empty lanes, no new heats will be created. Deck entries must be
submitted 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet. 2015 USA SWIMMING
REGISTRATION CARD MUST BE SHOWN PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE OF DECK ENTRIES.
USA SWIMMING REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED with an additional $20 filing fee
and proof of age.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Please submit Team Manager (Hy-tek) or Team Unify entries via e-mail. Entries are
due by Wednesday, January 21, 2015. A printout of entries, a team check or
Cashiers’ Check for entry fees and a signed Membership Affidavit must be postmarked
and mailed to the meet entry chair (Janet Huffman) by Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

WARM UP:
NMS mandatory warm-up procedures will be in effect throughout warm-ups. All
swimmers must be supervised by a coach member of USA Swimming during the warmup sessions. Only the designated 25 yard competition course and two (2) lap lanes will
be available for use. All other areas of the Olympic pool will be closed.
RULES:
2015 USA Swimming and NM Swimming rules will govern this meet. NMS warm-up
procedures will be in effect for the warm-up sessions.
RESTRICTIONS:The City of Albuquerque prohibits smoking or the use of tobacco products on the pool
deck, in locker rooms and rest rooms, in spectator seating and in all areas used by
swimmers during the course of this meet. No glass containers are allowed in the facility.
The leisure pool at West Mesa Aquatic Center is strictly “off-limits” to all participants,
spectators and officials during the meet.
SWIMWEAR:
All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not
extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck,
extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee. No fasteners, other than
drawstrings are allowed
RECORDING DEVICES: The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is
not permitted in changing areas, restrooms or locker rooms.
DECK CHANGING:
Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of
swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not
appropriate and is prohibited.
MEET NOTES:
In order to ensure a fast, enjoyable meet, flyover starts will be used throughout
both sessions of the meet. Short breaks (5 minutes) between events may be
taken at the discretion of the meet referee.
