H
E BLESSED THEM
Before Jesus ascends to heaven, he blesses his disciples. This blessing allows the disciples to return to
Jerusalem with great joy. When we look at blessings in scripture, they can be narrowed down to
three areas: 1) God bless us; 2) We bless God; & 3)
We bless each other. Jesus leaves his disciples with
the confidence they will continue his work and they
in turn will bless people just like Jesus blessed
them. As we hear today the importance of blessings,
let us pray that we can collaborate with Jesus to
bless one another as Christ blesses us. -Fr. Emilio

MOTHER’S DAY PRAYER
Loving God, you wrap your arms around
your people and show your everlasting
love in the same way a mother loves her
children. We are grateful for the love you have
taught us through the mothers in our lives: our
own mother who brought us into this world, the
mothers of friends who have welcomed us into
their homes and families, our grandmothers who
took time for us, and the mothers who have helped
us even though we were not their children. Bless all
the mothers of this world today. May they know
the fullness of love they have shared and be
blessed every day of their lives. Amen.
FR. EMILIO OUT OF THE COUNTRY

MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD FOOD
PANTRY & THRIFT STORE/ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY
Thank you to all who contributed to the
St. Vincent de Paul collection last weekend. Helping
the poor can bring the love and peach of Jesus to those
who live in fear, doubt and loneliness. With your help,
last month, 422 men, women and children in our parish were provided with food, clothing and other life
essentials. We are grateful for your kindness and generosity. We are in need of jam/jelly, peanut butter,
canned spaghetti, canned stew, canned meals, and
other food products to provide for families in need.
God bless!

Gracias.—P. Emilio
