Tema: “Nuestro Salvador Jesucristo destruyó la muerte y sacó a la luz la vida, por medio del Evangelio.”
Adultos: ¿Cómo cambiaría mi comportamiento ante la vida si yo reconozco mi gratitud para con Dios?
Adolescentes y Niños: ¿Reconozco que los dones que Dios me dio son muestras de su amor?
MENSAJE DE LA SEMANA:
Continuamos “siguiendo” las huellas del Maestro y Señor. También en este domingo nos ha
convocado para recordarnos lo fundamental del mensaje y, de esa manera, animar nuestro corazón e
iluminar nuestras oscuridades, porque Él es la Luz. Así nos lo presenta la liturgia.
La Palabra de Dios nos anuncia, por el profeta, un nuevo éxodo, una nueva liberación para un pueblo
que ha experimentado el sufrimiento y el destierro. Al ciego de Jericó, marcado también por el
sufrimiento de la oscuridad y que grita al que es la luz, le llega la salvación por medio de Cristo, en
quien se realizan los proyectos de Dios.
Por eso, la segunda lectura nos presentará a Jesús como el Sumo Sacerdote en quien se realiza la
plenitud, por medio de la ofrenda de su propia vida. Son los caminos de Dios y no siempre nos
resultan fáciles. ¡DICHOSOS quienes encuentran en JESÚS la LUZ para sus VIDAS!

Saddleback College ofrecerá este verano cuatro proyecciones cinematográficas públicas con charlas para
iniciar una conversación sobre el impacto de los hispanos en nuestra región.
Se les invita a los siguientes programas:

EL DIA DE TODOS LOS SANTOS: 1 DE NOVIEMBRE
El pasado domingo, 18 de octubre el Papa Francisco proclamó cuatro nuevos santos: se trata de San Luis
Martin y Santa María Celia Guérin, padres de Santa Teresita del Niño Jesús, de San Vicente Grossi,
fundador del Instituto de las Hijas del Oratorio, y de Santa María de la Purísima, superiora de las Hermanas
de la Compañía de la Cruz, quienes serán devotamente honrados en toda la Iglesia. Todos ellos recordándonos el
llamado que Dios nos hace cada día de nuestra vida – ¡el llamado a la Santidad!
1. Kateri Tekakwitha, nativa americana célebre por su intensa penitencia y amor a la eucaristía.
2. Carmen Salles y Barangueras (1848-1911), española y fundadora de la Congregación
Hermanas de la Inmaculada Concepción, que trabajó con jóvenes desfavorecidas y
prostitutas.
3. Marianne Cope of Molokai (1838-1918), alemana que estableció un sistema de cuidados
para leprosos en Hawaii.
4. San Luis Martin y Santa María Celia Guérin honraron con su vida el matrimonio y la familia
cristiana, como cónyuges y padres ejemplares.
5. Padre jesuita, Jacques Berthieu, de Francia, martirizado el 8 de junio de 1896 en Madagascar,
que pasó 21 años en esa isla del Océano Índico en medio a la intensa guerra colonial.
6. El padre italiano Giovanni Battista Piamarta (1841-1913), fundador de la Sagrada Familia de
Nazareth.
7. Anna Schaffer (1882-1925), laica alemana que aceptó sus sufrimientos como una forma de
santificación
