Subscriptions for Intermountain Catholic are
open to the parishioners of Saint Francis Xavier.
To keep receiving your subscriptions you can place
your family envelope with the $25.00 fee (per year) in
the collection basket. If you are interested in
receiving The Intermountain Catholic for 2015,
please turn in an envelope with your family name,
address, and include Saint Francis Xavier as your
parish and the $25.00 fee in the collection basket.
You may also send it to Intermountain Catholic, 27 C
Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.

Knights of Columbus Wendover bus trip, will be
Saturday, November 15, 2014. It will leave the
church at 9:00 am and return at 8:00 pm. The fee will
be $20.00 which includes coffee, doughnuts, bingo,
free buffet and coupon book. If you are interested
contact Mike Martinez 801-558-4542 or sign up at the
coffee bar on Sundays.
Vocations Promotion Committee is looking for a
volunteer to assist in the development . The
Committee would establish a program to provide
resources for those young men and/or women in our
parish, considering a religious vocation. If you are
interested in serving in this ministry, please contact

St. Francis Xavier Parish and the Knights of
Columbus will be providing food baskets for the
Thanksgiving Holiday to needy families. We will be
accepting non-perishable items to provide over 125
Thanksgiving baskets with all the trimmings to
families in need. Food containers will be placed in the
gathering area for your donations. If you would also
like to make a monetary donation, it would be greatly
appreciated. You can see V.J. during the Sunday
Coffee Bar or after all masses
Judge Memorial Catholic High School will hold a Fall
Open House on Wednesday, November 19 from 5-6:30
p.m. Meet the faculty, staff, and administration; talk with
current students and coaches; tour the campus; spend a
few moments in our Chapel; find out how to set up a
personal shadow day; learn about college-preparatory
program and the opportunities available in activities and

Refugee Resettlement Ministry Update
We are currently volunteering with our eighth family. This
is a family of 8 soon to be 9 from the Congo. The kids
range in age from 19 down to a baby due next month.
They are working hard toward independence by getting
jobs and learning English. With a baby boy on the way, the
family could use some supplies. If you are able to donate a
crib or other baby items, please contact me, Chris

Knights of Columbus Blood Drive, Sunday 23
November, 2014 at 9:00 am to 2:00 pm will take place in
the gym. Free drink and doughnut to all that donate, Sign
up will be conducted after each Mass or contact Mike

blood shortage in Salt Lake City.

You must pre-register for the baptism preparation
class and baptism in the church office. You must
register no later than Monday before the class and baptism.
The preparation class and baptism are on the same day. The
preparation class starts at 9:15 a.m. in the church followed by
the baptisms. If you are only attending the class there is a
donation of $25.00 per couple, after the class you will receive a
letter of completion. If you are attending the class and
baptizing your child, there is a donation of $50.00 for each
child. When registering in the church office, you will need to
pay the donation and bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
The next class and baptisms are November 29th. The class
starts at 9:15 am, followed by the baptisms. The deadline to
register is Friday, November 21st . Please be prepared to pay
the exact amount; we do not have change in the Church office.

801-968-2123 x150. For Quinceañeras and Weddings, you
must first meet with Father Yarce. Appointments can be made
in the church office.
The St. Francis Xavier School Annual Drive, “Make a
Difference” is underway. We are fortunate to have a
vibrant community that is rich in diversity – ethnically,
socially, and economically. Our diverse population
strengthens our community and unites the parents,
students, administration, faculty and staff with a shared
vision of the morals and values taught at Saint Francis
Xavier. Funds donated during the annual drive will assist
in technology enhancement, facility renovations and tuition

Family Bingo Night Saturday, November 22 sponsored by
the Knights of Columbus in conjunction with Cub Scout
Pack 4720. Cost is $5 per person, which includes pizza, a
drink and five games of bingo with a chance to win a
Thanksgiving turkey. We'll start serving food at 6 p.m. and
bingo will begin at 7 p.m. Proceeds will be donated to Cub
Scout Pack 4720. Representatives from the Scouts will be
available to answer questions for any young men
interested in Scouting.

The NeoCatechumenal Way will begin a Catechesis on
Monday September 15th, 2014 at Saint Francis Xavier
in classroom “A”, and will continue every Monday and
Thursday through early November, for all adults and
children 12 years and up.
