Stephen Ministry
“We hold of the death of the Lord deep in our hearts. Living, now we remain with Jesus, the
Christ. Once we were people afraid, lost in the night, then by your cross we were saved; Dead
became living, life from your giving.”
-Hymn “Now We Remain”
As Stephen Ministers, one of our goals is to instill “hope” in our care receivers lives. We know
this is possible only through Christ. The resurrection of Jesus is considered the most hopeful,
wondrous event for followers of Christ. They are so many wonderful prayers, hymns, scripture passages, and
pictures which can help with this, along with our Catechism of the Catholic Church copyright 1994, which
helps make events much more meaningful, by explaining how events tie into God's total historic plan for our
salvation. “ The Resurrection above all constitutes the confirmation of all Christ’s work and teachings.” #651
“Christ’s Resurrection is the fulfillment of the promises both of the Old Testament and of Jesus himself during
his earthly life.” #652 ”The truth of Jesus’ divinity is confirmed by his Resurrection. The Resurrection of the
crucified one shows that he was truly “I am”, the Son of God and God himself. Christ’s resurrection is closely
linked to the incarnation of God’s Son and it's a fulfillment in accordance with God’s in eternal plan.” #653

DALE CABIDA
No puedo leer

God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Maker of heaven and earth, You are the First Cause of these
United States of America. You are the Author of all that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable,
excellent and praiseworthy. Nearly two and a half centuries ago our American founders declared
earthly independence and by your prompting held "these truths to be self-evident, that all men are
created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator"-endowed by You- with certain unalienable
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Please join us at 4pm in the Chapel followed by a Pot Luck in the Parish Center. Let us pray
together as stated "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and
seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin
and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Hot Entre will be provided by the Respect Life Team and Last names beginning A-H; I-Q
please bring a Salad or Side Dish; and R-Z please bring a Dessert.
precioso, admirable, excelente y loable.
