He/she will:
• adhere to maintaining a demeanor and appearance that is proper and professional due to
the high standards of working with professionals in the fields of Engineering and Aerospace
Engineering,
• abide by the BISD Student/Parent Code of Conduct,
• abide by the compulsory attendance policy and be punctual to all classes, and
• must pass all sections of the state mandated tests (EOC).
SPACE Academy courses are Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP), Advanced Placement (AP), or
College Credit (DE) and will require that the student maintain an exemplary academic status
every grading period. Students must pass all Academy courses to remain active in the program.

Careers in Engineering (SPACE) Academy.

deemed necessary for my and/or the program’s success is grounds for review and possible
dismissal.
These standards include but are not restricted to the following:
• I will demonstrate mature behavior as it pertains to a professional setting.
• I will attend classes on time and not have excessive absences or tardies.
• I will follow all rules listed in the BISD Student/Parent Code of Conduct Handbook.
• I will pass all state-mandated assessments required for promotion.
• I will achieve and maintain an exemplary academic status each marking period.
• I will be committed to attend summer SPACE Academy Summer Program.
• I will meet all prerequisites as required for the Pre-AP/AP/Dual program.
Students who are not in compliance with the Academy standards will be referred to the SPACE
Academy administrator. The student may be allowed to continue in the Academy with provisions or
dismissed as determined by the SPACE Academy administrator.
The Parent/guardian assures that they will support their student’s participation in
this Career and Technical Education Academy and understand the above
