Travelling members:
Nick G3RWF will be back in Kenya operating as 5Z4LS during the period 05 to 18 March 2015.
For those of us who have worked 5Z4LS in the past Nick will have a new AF number and worth a
new point for us all - if worked.
Roley G3VIR will be travelling to the Republic of South Korea on 29 March 2015 and hopes to be
QRV as HS5/G3VIR. He will be there for three weeks on a family holiday and will be dependent on
‘borrowing’ a shack or two. We wish Roley, Soon-Young and family a wonderful get-together. Understood that radio will be low priority but many of us will be hunting.
Sign up to the RSARS Google Group to ensure updates are received about Nick 5Z4LS and Roley
HS5/G3VIR.
Not really a travelling member but it was great to see that we again have a member in Portugal. Tony CT1FFB 4236 is our latest new member. Looking at his qrz.com page it looks as though he is
active on radio so I for one, look forward to getting him in the log as a new OS contact.
G3SIG - volunteers still wanted.
Aware of pending activities on the Isle of Man and Jersey I can see me printing out one or two certificates in 2015. I know of one member who requires GI3SIG and this will definitely be activated
this year. However we still require volunteers for all areas British Isles so please give it some
thought. I know we were told never to volunteer for anything in the Army. Please note this does not
apply to the RSARS.
Members are still needed to operate G3SIG during 2015
