larry goerke, 74, of st. Joseph,
passed away Wednesday, January 14,
2015 at Mosaic life care.
larry was born on June 3, 1940; to the
late george & ora (Trimmer) goerke.
he was a 1958 graduate of savannah
high school.
Mr. goerke served in the army
reserves from 1961-1966. larry was
employed at Johnson controls for over
25 years. he was an avid outdoorsman,
including camping.
larry married linda robbins on
october 15, 1983, she survives of the
home.
additional surviving family includes
daughters, kandi newby, adeanna
(kenneth) Marshall and Jennifer
(Mark) sidwell; 2 step-sons, ricky
(donna) Miller and Frederick
(roxanne) Miller; 13 grandchildren, 5
great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce
goerke; numerous nieces, nephews,
aunts, uncles and cousins.
larry was also preceded in death by a
daughter, darla goerke and brother,
Bobby goerke.

samuel “sam” l. good, 72, of st.
Joseph, passed away Thursday, January
15, 2015 at Mosaic life care.
sam was born on January 15, 1943 in
st. Joseph to Frederick and Virginia
(Beuhler) good.
sam attended lafayette high school
and graduated from Missouri Western
state university. he was employed at
herzog construction and was supervisor for the pony express Trucking
company. Then he became an
independent insurance agent. sam
served in the u.s. army for 4 years and
the navy reserves for 18 years. he
was a member of the Word of life
church, where he also volunteered, and
Teamsters union local # 460.
sam was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John good.
surviving family includes wife,
Marilyn dalrymple-good, of the home;
daughter, Michelle (scott) Barton, son,
John good, both of st. Joseph; 2 grandchildren, Zach and samantha Barton, 3
sisters, Fredericka nix, regina good
and charlicia hoagland; 2 brothers,
Joel and noel good; and numerous
nieces and nephews.

charlotte was born on september 4,

Mrs. hambrick was employed as a
real estate agent for the former st.
Joseph real estate Mart, and was a
member of Faith united church.
charlotte married John carl hambrick on november 23, 1949 in st.
Joseph; he preceded her in death in
2007. she was also preceded in death
by a son, J.c. hambrick, Jr. and eight
siblings.

herold “Jay” house Jr., 54, atchison,
ks., died saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 in his
home after a long battle with cancer.
Jay was born nov 11, 1960 in san
Francisco into the family of herold Jay
house sr. and carole (percin) house.
he married peggy Mclean on sept. 19,
1987 in Millbrae, ca. in 2001 the family moved to atchison.
in 1980 Jay joined the air Force which
guided his career. he spent 20 years
working for delta airlines as an avionics technician. When he retired from
delta he briefly worked at Benedictine
college, before returning to the airlines
to work for republic airways for the
remainder of his career.
Jay is survived by; his wife, peggy
house of atchison, his daughter
stephanie sander (dustin) of st.
Joseph, his daughter Tamara house
also of atchison, his mother carole
house of castro Valley, ca, his sister
Michelle segelke (carl) of san
leandro, ca, and close friends.
he was preceded in death by his

John V. Joswick, 88, st. Joseph, died
sunday, January 11, 2015 at a local
healthcare facility.
he was born april 25, 1926 to V.
Walter and helen (szczodroski)
Joswick in royalton, Mn.
John proudly served in the u.s. navy
during World War ii. he worked at
armour & company and later at seitz
from which he retired in 1988. he was
also a member of the First church of
the nazarene and enjoyed hunting and
fishing. John was “a lover of sunshine
and fresh air.”
Mr. Joswick was preceded in death by
his parents; 1st wife, Frances
(carmona) on January 12, 1959; 2nd
wife, alice l. (saale) on March 23,
2007; infant daughter, rosemarie; and
two brothers, donald and george
Joswick.
