The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County presents the Newport BridgeFest 2015 Art Contest The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County invites artists from the Rhode Island area to submit one original piece to
be considered as BridgeFest Official Festival Art. Works should represent the artist’s rendition of Newport and/or the
Newport arts and music community. All media strongly encouraged to apply. The complete registration form can be
downloaded at www.NewportBridgeFest.com.
Artists and their work will be publicized on the Newport BridgeFest web site and social media pages, where the public will
select a “People’s Choice” award winner. All submissions will be A) considered as possible future Newport BridgeFest
Official Art, B) granted discounted entry to the juried art fair (pending acceptance by the Art Fair jury), and C) may be
used in publicity, advertising, and possible merchandising with credit to the artist. The top 3 pieces will be featured at our
annual Newport BridgeFest Arts & Fine Crafts Fair at Trinity Church, and will also be featured at special BridgeFest 2015
events.
Newport BridgeFest, entering its 7th year, is a local, live music and music education festival that "bridges" the gap between
the prestigious Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals for a continuous 10 days of music in our community. Festival dates are
Monday July 27 through Thursday July 30, 2015. Last year’s festival art was donated by watercolorist William Heydt.

Contest Rules:
First entry is free of charge. Additional entries will be accepted with a $15.00 check payable to “ACA Newport.” All entries must be
original works. All entries must be accompanied by this completed registration form. Artists should also email one digital photo per
entry to [email protected] for media recognition and the people’s choice award. Artists retain rights to use their image.
Artists maintain ownership of original work. Winners grant original works to be displayed during Newport BridgeFest 2015 events.
Every effort will be made to ensure the safety and security of artwork. By signing this form, all contestants grant the right for The Arts &
Cultural Alliance of Newport County and Newport BridgeFest to publish artists’ names and/or visual representation of submitted work
on the Newport BridgeFest web site, social media, print media, and any related marketing or publicity related to Newport BridgeFest.
The deadline for contest submissions is March 1, 2015. Forms for contestants under the age of 18 must be co-signed by a legal guardian.
“People’s Choice” contest will conclude on May 15, 2015. Contest winners will be notified by email or phone. Winners will be
recognized online, in print and social media, and will be invited to special events surrounding BridgeFest 2015.
