As St. Paul said to the Corinthians, "I should like you to be free of anxieties." I spent this past week following well the advice
of St. Paul. I spent the first thee days in Florida (North Coco) playing golf and just winding down. Spent a day on the water
nature watching, and looking for large alligators. Went to some huge Flea Markets, as they say, one person's junk is another
person's treasure. My highlight was attending my first Monster Jam Truck Show. It was loud and wild! My hosts were Dave
and Ellen Fineran and they made sure I had good meals, a good time and made sure I was wore down at the end of the day. I
want to thank Deacon Mike and Msgr. Seifried for covering the parishes while I was gone. This is the first time in my
priesthood that a funeral Mass was covered for me. My heartfelt prayers were with Malinda and the family as they laid Denny to
rest. I encountered only one delay in Charlotte,1 1/2 hours on my way home. Nice to get away, but I'm sure looking forward to
being home. Thank you for keeping me safe in your prayers.
Fr. Rich Ball
I am pleased to say that new carpet was installed in my living room and dining room by Robinson’s in Cherokee. A
special thanks to those who moved furniture, tore out carpet, and put the furniture back in its place. It is a short shag
carpet with speckles of color in it. It looks great in the house. Everyone is welcome to judge for themselves…come
and see!
