TMEIC to Exhibit at the Japan Pavilion of IETF 2015
Major Trade Show Related to Machine Technology in India
Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (hereinafter, “TMEIC”; President & CEO
Kiyotaka Machida) will participate in International Engineering & Technology Fair (IETF 2015), which is
recognized as India’s major trade show related to machine technology. TMEIC will currently cooperate
with its local Indian subsidiary to take part in the Japan Pavilion organized by Japan External Trade
Organization (JETRO). The Company plans to display various items at its booth with a focus on rotating
machinery, power electronics and PV inverter (PV-PCS).
At this year’s IETF marking the 21st occasion, Japan will participate as a partner country, in which
JETRO will comprehensively introduce Japanese technology in the areas of environment, energy,
automobile, railroad, infrastructure and other general machinery during the exhibition period. A total of 45
companies and organizations are expected to exhibit not only to enhance their presence but also support
Japanese companies and Japanese-affiliated companies to introduce their products and promote business
negotiations in an effort to expand business in India.
While TMEIC has a proven track record in various industrial system fields centered on metal industry
in India since its establishment in 2003, the Company has also been working to accelerate local business
expansion through various measures such as establishing a new company in 2014 in line with the expansion
of motor, drive and solar power generation markets. Specifically, TMEIC boasts overwhelming market
share in the large-capacity PV inverters in Japan and is also taking initiatives in the global market as a
leading company centering on North America and China. TMEIC will continue its business expansion in
India as one of the markets with high potential in the future.
