Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA will meet this Sunday Feb. 8th at John Beeson’s
House; 3833 S. 186thAve. from 8:00 – 9:00 PM. Spring
schedules can be picked up by the FCA display in front
of the swimming pool entrance. See you Sunday at
8:00 PM.
- MWHS National Honors Society TODAY, February 6th, there is a “RED Out” for our
Millard West girls and boys Varsity basketball games
against Burke High School. At halftime, a raffle winner
will be announced. The winner, and a guest of his or
her choosing, will have a front row seat in a LoveSac
with free popcorn and a beverage, all the comforts of
home for the remainder of the game (*must be present
to win). If you wear your own red shirt, you will
receive 1 raffle ticket at the door to the game, and if
you buy a shirt to support the American Heart
Association, you will receive 3 raffle tickets, earning
more chances to win! Opportunities for Millard West
students and staff to purchase an AHA shirt will begin
Monday, February 2ndin the Millard West Commons
during lunch. Let’s show some Wildcat spirit, while
supporting a great cause!
Calling all Spanish enthusiasts!
Millard West’s Spanish Honors
Society will be accepting
applications for the 2015-2016 school year into the
Antonio Novella Chapter. Spanish Honors Society
members work to develop their Spanish skills through
community service and fundraising. Members are also
allowed to apply for exclusive scholarships. In order to
be considered you must have at least a cumulative 3.0
GPA as well as a 3.5 GPA in Spanish and complete an
application for membership. If you are interested
please stop by room 168 next week and pick up an
application. They are due February, 19th.
MPS Summer School information is now available.
Brochures are available for student pick-up in the
guidance office or you may go the the

Summer school registration will open Monday, February
2, 2015.
Musical Valentines are back!!
Surprise and delight your friends and
sweethearts with a musical valentine
during QT. Musical Valentines are the
new "Flowers" or Cards". It's live and fun!
$3 on sale at Lunch, starting Friday.
The Wildcat Winter Guard performs in their second
competition of the season this Saturday, February
7th at Papillion-La Vista High School. Tickets are $5
for students. Grab your seats by 6:30 to support your
favorite winter guard team, and don't forget to wear
your Millard West Green!

Attention Juniors & Seniors
To sign up to attend an upcoming college
representative visit, please follow these steps:
1) Log-in to Naviance
2) Select the Colleges tab
3) Under the "my colleges" section you can "view all
upcoming college visits"
4) After signing up for a college visit, students
should print off the confirmation page to use as
their pass to attend the college visit. You can do this
by using ctrl P or selecting File and then Print.

Free Compass® placement tests are available for
students interested in attending college. Placement
tests help MCC:
• Quickly evaluate skill levels in reading, writing,
math and English as a Second Language
• Place you in the right courses for your skill level
• Connect you to the resources you need to achieve
academic success
Special senior test days
The Compass test takes approximately 2.5 hours to
complete and starts any time between 8 and 9 a.m. on
Feb. 7, April 18 and June 13 or by appointment. Make an
appointment to test at any of the locations below by
calling 402-457-2400.

When a student makes an appointment, he/she will
receive a code to Skills Tutor, an online review program
that includes tutorials, practice problems, quizzes and
practice tests to prepare for the Compass. Students can
also visit mccneb.edu/testing/ptr.asp to review MCC's free
online student guide for the Compass placement test. On
the day of the test, bring a government-issued ID (e.g.,
driver’s license or passport); a current high school ID is
also acceptable. Students interested in attending MCC
should click on Apply Now at mccneb.edu at least three
days prior to the testing date to have the results
immediately attached to an MCC student profile. Students
who have taken the ACT or SAT may not need to take the
Compass placement test. Call 402-457-2400 to speak with
an advisor or make an appointment.
