All:
If the Lord’s disciples keep silent,
These stones would shout aloud.
God, open our lips
And our mouths shall proclaim your praise.
*HYMN OF PRAISE #439 [NCH]
“A Mighty Fortress
Is Our God” (verses 1,2,4,)
CONFESSION OF SIN (unison)
Gracious and merciful Father, we confess to you and to one
another, that we have sinned against you by what we have
done, and by what we have left undone. We have not fully
loved our neighbors as ourselves. We have not always had
in us the mind of Christ. You alone, know how often we
have grieved you by wasting your gifts, by wandering from
your ways. Forgive us we pray, and free us from our sins.
Renew in us the grace and strength of your Holy Spirit, for
the sake of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Savior.
SILENT CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (unison)
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn?
Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us,
Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone
who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a
new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven and be at
peace. Amen.
*GLORIA PATRI
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it
was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end,
Amen, Amen.
