ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Founded in 1981 by Vasavi Academy of Education, Vasavi
The Department has 12 well experienced faculty
members with 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor and
10 Assistant Professors. The Department has well
equipped laboratories with latest softwares. The
Department is actively involved in organizing
workshops, seminars, Expert lectures and Industrial
Visits. Faculty members of the department are actively
involved in research.
College of Engineering (Autonomous) represents a rich
tradition of excellence in technology-based education. A
Premier-league institution among the affiliates of OU,
Vasavi College of Engineering owes its vision to Sri
Pendekanti Venkata Subbaiah, a veteran statesman of

Ibrahimbagh,
Hyderabad, which is 9 km from Mehdipatnam, en route to
Gandipet. The campus is spread over a sprawling 13.6

OBJECTIVE OF THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will give a brief idea of BIG DATA and
its Industrial Applications. The participants will also get
the idea about HADOOP tool. Currently lot of research
is going on this newly emerging area, therefore this
workshop will certainly help the participants.
